JERRY DOUGLAS
International Film amd Television icon, Jerry Douglas joined the cast of the #1 rated daytime drama The Young and the Restless in March 1982 as John Abbott, the patriarch of the Abbott family and the wealthy chairman of Jabot Cosmetics. The Young and the Restless has been the #1 rated daytime for over 17 years and airs on CBS from Sony Pictures Television and can be seen around the world in over 25 foreign countries. Over the span of his carreer, Douglas has guest starred in numerous television series and feature films including the HBO series Arrested Development and had supporting roles in Avalanche, Looker, Mommie Dearest and Oliver Stone’s JFK among countless others. Douglas’s first love however is singing. He is considered by many of his fans and others as the last of the great crooners. Douglas has toured the United States and Canada for over 20 years by performing standards in casinos and concert halls to sold out audiences in the US and Canada and is getting ready to release his latest CD of popular melodies. Douglas launched his acting career upon graduation from Brandeis University many years ago, studing with renowned acting coaches Uta Hagen in New York and Jeff Corey in Los Angeles. During Douglas’s spare time, he has his own production company Jovra Inc. and has several projects in development. He stops by on Tuesday, April 23, at 7pm EST.
