The Call of Jeremiah and the office of the prophet

    in Religion

Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX begins by stating that the Lord is good and faithful and we can trust him in all seasons of our life. In Acts 23:11 it says, "But the following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome.” The key thing here, if you are going through any storm or test is "be of good cheer." So although Paul was going through a storm (Acts 27), God allowed him to go through the storm. God is the one who raises up. If you will allow God to raise you up, you will get there.

God will call different people to do different things, but He will take you through a process by building up a foundation in your life. The call of God is not of you, it is of God.  Just cooperate. The specific thing that God has for your life comes out of relationship with Him. As you develop a relationship with Him, He will begin to show you the things He has for your life.  Mark 4:28 says, "For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head." What God has for your life is a process. The blade is the dream of God.

Pastor Brad continues teaching about the call of Jeremiah. Jeremiah was a weeping prophet who God gave a message of judgment. Jeremiah's message was rejected. Israel had rejected God and they chose not to listen to Jeremiah. Jeremiah prophesized over a 40 year span. This shows that you have to be patient in what God calls you to do.  Just stay at it and the blessings of God will come. This will also proves that you are being faithful to God and what He wants you to do.

    Just Jesus #307

    in Christianity

Alan Redpath said: "The immense step from the Babe at Bethlehem to the living, reigning triumphant Lord Jesus, returning to earth for His own people – that is the glorious truth proclaimed throughout Scripture. As the bells ring out the joys of Christmas, may we also be alert for the final trumpet that will announce His return, when we shall always be with Him."

This is Daniel Whyte III with Just Jesus, a podcast designed to celebrate the birth, life, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and second coming of Jesus Christ, the impact He has on the world, and the salvation He offers for all people. This is episode #307. The aim of this podcast is to encourage you to begin a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to begin to live your life according to His Word.

Our Just Jesus passage from the Word of God today is John 1:18 which reads: "No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."

Our featured Just Jesus quote today is from Tim Lahaye. He said, "It is imperative that every unbeliever recognize the truth that the Lord Jesus Christ will hold him accountable in proportion to the degree of opportunity he has had. The gospel of Jesus Christ is preached in almost every city and is available by radio, television, computer, or printed page to almost everyone in the Western world. The "recording angels" know and record all the times that the gospel has been heard by people."

    Zedekiah asks Jeremiah a Question

    in Christianity

BIBLEBOOKCLUB: OT:Jeremiah 37:1-38:28, NT: 1 Timothy 6:1-21, Psalm: 89:38-52, Proverbs: 25:28. In today's OT scripture, King Zedekiah asked Jeremiah to meet him in secret. King Zedekiah wanted Jeremiah to give him the latest news (prophecy) from God. Jeremiah told Zedekiah, If you surrender to Babylon army, your family and the city of Jerusalem will not be burned. Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, "I am afraid to surrender because the King of Babylon will turn me over to my people and who knows what THEY will do to me." Jeremiah replied " You won't get into their hands If only you will obey the Lord; your life will be spared and all will go well for you. But if you refuse to surrender, the Lord said that you will not escape the King of Babylon and this city will be burned. FRIENDS, THIS REALLY HAPPENED. KING ZEDEKIAH DIDN'T OBEY GOD AND HIS FAMILY WAS KILLED AND HE WAS TAKEN AS A SLAVE TO BABYLON! WE MUST OBEY GOD! HE HAS THE POWER TO RESTORE AND CHANGE OUR LIVES. PRAY FOR THE LEADERS OF AMERICA LET THEM TURN BACK TO GOD AND OBEY GOD'S WILL FOR AMERICA!

    Qul Alahiym presents Jeremiah 1:10

    in Religion

Shalum lakhem! Welcome once again to Jeremiah 1:10, a show which purposes to expose the fallacies being promulgated by propaganda & various means in the world today. We conclude our current topic, Why is the Bible under attack, by examining a few other examples of the adversaries devices to destroy the Word of YAH. First, because the Holy Scripture is truth, those living according to the instructions given being promised eternal life. Secondly, because the Most High has an enemy, who seeks to overturn every instruction given; one method in particular being deceitful scholarship. What else can we see as attempts being made to trample down the Word of TRUTH? Don't forget your bible, a pen & a pad.

Episode 307: Our Own Private Petard - Procurement & Strategy with Robert Farley

    in Military

This Sunday we are going to look at the big pixels that supports the entire national security infrastructure above it.

Using his recent article in The National Interest, The Real Threat to America's Military (And It's Not China, Russia or Iran), we will tackle the greatest challenge of a world power - those things it has no one else to blame for.

Procurement, strategy, and the choices we make. The run of the last 30 years of weapons development and strategic foresight has not been a very good one. Why?
