Shriekfest Radio: Denise Gossett interviews Jason Virgadamo/ Renfield Rasputin

    in Paranormal

Shriekfest Radio:  Denise Gossett interviews Jason Virgadamo/ Renfield Rasputin.

Jason Virgadamo was born and raised in Houston Texas on a healthy diet of horror. Before kindergarten he had already seen John Carpenter's The Fog and was reciting Edgar Allan Poe for his fifth grade poetry recital.

As a teenager he tried to copy his idols Alice Cooper and KISS by playing guitar in theatrical rock bands.

Forced by his parents to pursue a more "steady career" he pursued medicine but did not leave horror far behind.

After a trip to New Orleans in 2010 he started writing his first screenplay LaLaurie. Soon after he started writing short horror stories, dabbling in film making, and revived his theatrical musical group using the penname Renfield Rasputin.

In 2014 he entered LaLaurie into Shriekfest Film Festival screenplay competition and became a finalist. This was his first and only competition he has ever entered.

Giving that $1.00 to the Homeless: Do You?

    in Current Events

How do you help the homeless? Or, do you?
Do you give them money on the street or do you believe that feeds their addictions? Do you contribute to charities that assist the hungry and homeless?
Let's go further. What do you believe is the best way to help homeless people get off the streets; get mental, physical and drug-abuse rehab (as needed); and, once and for all, get on track for a better life?
For our inaugural show (the first of five two-hour shows in our official "Pre-Premiere" phase), we will tackle this topic and, as always, seek a better understanding of and solutions to this problem, which affects people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds in America.
In addition to our focus on best practices for supporting the homeless, we will continue our dialogue about the Trayvon Martin case, which catapulted onto the national agenda after an initial lack of media awareness and/or attention.
This inaugural show airs live at a special time--7 to 9 a.m. After that we plan to broadcast live 9-11 a.m., every Friday.
The Janita Poe Show is a new, syndicated talk show currently broadcasted to Atlanta and Houston markets. Sales information," about us" bios and show background available at www.thejanitapoeshow.com and http://www.exceptionalradio.com/janitapoe.htm
    Let's get ready to talk!!!

    Kleftikos Radio: This Is Halloween

    in Poetry

Kleft Jaw and Kleftikos Radio had so much fun doing their second open mic show a couple of weeks ago, they're bringing that fiendish concept back for Halloween.

Join us on October 25th (8pm WST/9pm MT/10pm CST/11pm EST). Kleft Jaw staff will be joined by a host of surprise guests. The theme for the evening is Halloween, and the door is wide open as to what that can entail. Surprise guests and callers just like you will join the show to offer their favorite horror stories and poems. These can be original works, or just pieces that have kept them awake during those long, weird nights.

Rumor has it that Vincent Price himself is going to drag his old body out of the grave, and join us for a conversation on the works of Edgar Allen Poe. Kleft Jaw cannot confirm the validity of this terrifying rumor at this time, so you're just going to have to tune on October 25th.

Whether you want to contribute your own original or favorite scary stories/poems, or if you just want to creep us out, tune in on October 25th (8pm WST/9pm MT/10pm CST/11pm EST), and scare the living hell out of Kleft Jaw.
