    Marlene Tucker is an author, actress, motivational speaker, and gospel singer hailing from Columbus, Ohio. She attended Bishop Hartley and North High School, Capital University (B.A.), Simmons Graduate School of Management, Leadership Columbus, Chamber of Commerce, Central Michigan University (M.S.A), and has attained PhD ABD status from Walden University.


    Marlene has been busy honing her acting skills.  Marlene has made a number of pro bono appearances  in Atlanta most notably in a key monologue “The Flood” an M.Power production, The Vagina Monologues; and  played a matriarch role as Aunt Pat in an Atlanta play In-laws/Outlaws to an audience of more than 1200 (produced by James Brown II and now available on You Tube); performed as a volunteer Mock Juror on 10 pilot episodes with CNN, Headline News, After Dark, Extra assignments with OWN Network/Tyler Perry Productions in The Haves and Have Nots (2013/2014), Devious Maids (2014) and recently performed with other  national recording artists.  Marlene aspires to perform in more notable film productions in the near future.   


    Marlene completed 34 years in the federal sector.  She plans to finalize her book “New Beginning, A Glimpse Into the Life of Marlene Tucker” which is in its final stages of production and will be available some time in 2015 where she depicts working in the warehouse  as a single parent ultimately leading to White House assignments as captured in her published song  “Who Ever Thought”.

    Howard Hewett (born October 1, 1955 in Akron, Ohio) is an American R&B and gospel singer and former lead vocalist of the R&B group Shalamar.


    Raised in Akron, Ohio, Hewett moved to Los Angeles. He would eventually meet Soul Train dancer and future first wife Rainey Riley-Cunningham, then a secretary of the show's creator and original host Don Cornelius. It was he who introduced Hewett to fellow Soul Train dancers Jody Watley and Jeffrey Daniel, and their group, Shalamar, was born. The trio is best known for songs such as "Second Time Around", "A Night to Remember", "Dancing in the Sheets" and the ballad "This Is For The Lover In You". Hewett was the group's lead singer from 1979 until 1985.


    With a mid 1980s line-up change with Delisa Davis and Micki Free, Shalamar returned to the US Top 20 in 1984 with "Dancing in the Sheets" from the Footloose Soundtrack, peaking at #17, they won a Grammy for "Don't Get Stopped in Beverly Hills" in 1988..


    Shalamar broke up in the mid 1980s, he went on to pursue a solo career. He signed with Elektra Records and recorded 1986's I Commit To Love (R&B #12), a relatively solid urban album that yielded two R&B hits, "I’m For Real" (R&B #2) and "Stay" (R&B #8). The album also included "Say Amen"....
