During my years as a Blogtalk Radio host, I used an alternative news media called BrassCheckTv which provides alternative news. In the many years I have used them they have never asked for money. But now because of the cost to produce and distribute the information, they need donations. I personally feel that we who strive for the truth should support each other. The weapons of deception are financial in nature. They know we do not have the revenue to maintain a high level of coverage. What they do not except is they are not the only source of information.
Daily I hear many who have been deceived by main stream media, and do not do the research behind the issues. Listening to a recent interview the gentleman was asked about "Alternative news" and his reply was that you cannot make any money doing that, even if you are telling the real story. That is why tonight we'll play some of BrassCheckTv tapes and talk about how we can develop a system to support each other.
I have no doubt it will be hard, but we do not want a news media full of commercials. We must be listener supported with an open carpet for callers to express their views regularly. To ask questions and seek answers. To be informed on all level of issues, and to teach others knowledge which will enable them to know the truth. Tune in tonight and let's talk about how we can support each other.
THE PERRY STEELE SHOW on WE RESISTERS RADIO on Blogtalk Radio.
James DeWolf Perry, executive director of The Tracing Center on Histories and Legacies of Slavery and a descendant of RI slave traders, joins Jane to talk about the work of The Tracing Center, whose mission is to create greater awareness of the entire nation’s complicity in slavery and the transatlantic slave trade and to inspire acknowledgment, dialogue and active response to this history and its many legacies. James will discuss the PBS documentary Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North, in which Tracing Center founder, Katrina Browne, discovers that her RI ancestors were the largest slave-trading family in US history. She and nine cousins, including James, retrace the Triangle Trade, explore the ways in which slavery impacts our nation even today, and gain powerful new perspectives on the black/white divide.
James DeWolf Perry has facilitated discussions about the legacy of slavery and race with corporate, educational, religious and community groups.

2014 was a year to remember.
It was the year that Black people woke up and began to push back against a system that marginalizes them and a system that supported the wanton murder of Black people by the police. While police have been abusing and murdering Black people for a long time, in 2014, Blacks began to protest after the justice system sat down and supported murder by cop. Black people stood up and launched the longest protest since the 1960s. When Blacks stood up, other people joined the protest—around the nation and around the world. And now, a change must come.
In 2014, hackers became revolutionaries, exposing racists in high places—particularly the film industry, which has been racist for a long time in practice, but has now been exposed for being racist in speech as well. This from an industry that thought it was okay to make a “funny” film about murdering the leader of a sovereign nation. A change must come.
2014 was a year of losses and a year of gains. It was a year of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer and a year of people getting tired of getting their asses kicked.
But I know, a change gone come.

It's the last show of the year and we'll be live for an after-Christmas show. My guest this week will be author Noah James Hittner. We'll be discussing his books: Something to Give Back, Beyond Victim and Villain & The Modern-Day Buddha.
The Modern-Day Buddha (MDB) is a handy reference guide which offers ten short and impactful techniques that anyone can use on-the-spot to provide a quick, wholesome, and inspiring way to travel through their day-to-day life experience. Quite honestly, it could be called a handbook for wholeness.
Each technique contains an anecdote, accessible insight, and simple suggestions for action steps. All-in-all, it was my intention that the MDB’s message be clearly conveyed in a way that is gentle, efficient, and intriguing.
