TONIGHT NORTH FLORIDA WRITER LIVE WILL BEGIN A SERIES OF SHORT DISCOURSES (NO MORE THAT 15 MINUTES) FOR USE ON DAYS WHEN A REGULAR SHOW IS NOT PROGRAMMED. SHORT AND SWEET: THE THEME WILL BE IMAGINE.......THE REMAINDER TO BE FILLED IN NIGHTLY
IMAGINE IF WE TOOK CHARGE OF OUR OWN LIVES AND TOOK OWNERSHIP OF OUR COUNTRY. IMAGINE THE POWER IT WOULD GIVE US AND HOW IT COULD MAKE THE POLITICIANS TAKE NOTICE. JUST IMAGINE, THEN APPLY THE WILLPOWER. AND IF YOU ARE A BELIEVER, GOD WILL HELP. JUST IMAGINE. SEE YOU TONIGHT AT NINE (ET).
YOUR CLUE TO THE EXACT TOPIC IS IN THE PICTURE
TONIGHT'S SHORT TAKE WILL BE DEVOTED TO FATHERS AND SONS. IN TODAY'S CRAZY WORLD, IT'S EASY FOR DAD TO GET WRAPPED UP IN WORK AND THEIR OWN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES WITH THE RESULT BEING A YOUNG BOY FEELING LEFT OUT. HAVING LOST MY DAD AT AN EARLY AGE, I KNOW VERY WELL WHAT NOT HAVING A FATHER CAN FEEL LIKE ALTHOUGH I WAS VERY BLESSED TO HAVE A VERY SPECIAL MOTHER. SO LET'S IMAGINE FOR A FEW MOMENTS..........IMAGINE HOW MUCH BETTER LIFE CAN BE FOR BOTH FATHERS AND SONS WHEN THEY SHARE LIFE TOGETHER. AND IMAGINE WHAT THOSE WHO DON'T ARE FEELING.
AMERICA HAS FAR TOO MANY FAMILIES WITHOUT A FATHER, NOT THROUGH DEATH OR DISASTER, BUT THROUGH SELFISHNESS AND LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY. IMAGINE IF WE CAN CHANGE THAT: IMAGINE WHAT A BETTER PLACE IT CAN BE.
SEE YOU TONIGHT AT NINE.
HI, I'M JAMES DICK YOUR HOST AND I'M HAPPY TO PRESENT THE FIRST EDITION OF MY NEW FORMAT ON BLOGTALK RADIO. THIS IS MY INTRODUCTORY EPISODE IN THE LIFESTYLE CATEGORY AS I NOW EMBARK ON MY INDEPENDENT SHOW. YOU MAY HAVE HEARD ME ON CONSERVATIVE REPORT RADIO, BUT NOW NORTH FLORIDA WRITER IS ON ITS OWN WITH A NEW FORMAT. SO, FOLKS, WELCOME TO NORTH FLORIDA WRITER RADIO.
WE'RE GOING TO DEVOTE OUR PROGRAMMING TO LIFE AND LIVING IT. WE'LL TALK ABOUT SOME CHALLENGES BUT ALSO MORE IMPORTANTLY ABOUT WHAT GOT YOU AND ME WHERE WE ARE TODAY. IT'S YOUR FAMILY, YOUR UPBRINGING, YOUR SPIRITUALLY; ALL YOUR EXPERIENCES AND ALL THOSE THINGS THAT PUT YOU TOGETHER. FOR MANY OF US IT INVOLVES GOD AND COUNTRY AND A DEEP SENSE OF REVERENCE FOR WHAT WE HOLD DEAR. NOSTALGIC MEMORIES AND OUR REMINISCENCE HAS A LOT TO DO WITH IT AS WELL. I REALIZE THAT WE HAVE MAJOR DIFFERENCES BUT THERE'S NO REASON WHY WE CAN'T TALK AND LAUGH TOGETHER. LIFE'S TO SHORT TO BE ANGRY AND ANTAGONISTIC TO ONE ANOTHER.
WE'LL JUST TOUCH THE EDGES TONIGHT, BUT THEN WE'LL GO OFF IN MANY DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS ON NORTH FLORIDA WRITER LIVE IN THE DAYS TO COME. YOU MIGHT WANT TO ALSO VISIT MY WEBSITE AND BLOG AT NORTHFLORIDAWRITER.COM TO LEARN WHAT MAKES ME TICK. IN ANY EVENT, THE PLAN IS TO LAUGH, MAYBE CRY A LITTLE, BUT ALWAYS CELEBRATE WHO WE ARE AND HOW WE GOT WHERE WE ARE. WE DON'T HAVE TO ALWAYS AGREE, BUT WE CAN LEARN MUCH FROM EACH OTHER. THE PICTURES ROTATING HERE WILL TELL YOU MUCH ABOUT ME, BUT THERE IS ALSO A SURPRISE. FOR WHILE I AM A COUNTRY BOY, I WAS FIRST A CITY BOY. THE COUNTRY CAME WITH TIME AND EXPERIENCE.
LIFE: IT ONLY COMES AROUND ONCE ON THIS EARTH FOR EACH OF US. LET'S USE IT WISELY.
Join us on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. for the next edition of our podcast, America's Community Voices Network, onBLOGTALKRADIO.COM, with our special guest the newly elected representative for the Florida State House of Representatives, District 61, Mr. Edwin Narain. Since his election to office during the last election cycle, the freshmen democrat has made his debut in the Florida State House with great distinction. He was the first freshman ever elected to lead theminority caucus (unprecedented) and he was the chief sponsor of a bill that was passed into law to provide critical training to police officers to recognize the symptoms of a diabetic episode. Known as "The Arthur Green Act," this critical bill was sponsored my Rep. Narain after Mr. Green's untimely during a traffic stop in which he was suffering a hypoglycemic episode. The police officers, through no fault of their own, did not recognize the symptoms and attempted to arrest Mr. Green for erratic and DUI driving. Mr. Green collapsed and died in what was at the least a highly preventable death.
To listen live and participate in the program please call (347) 857-3350 to ask questions or make comments or go to BLOGTALKRADIO.COM . To listen to the program after the live show, on demand listening will be available on BLOGTALKRADIO.COM, ITUNES and Facebook.
Bernard Jennings Joins us to discuss Florida politics
Barbara Stone is a courageous "David" of sorts, taking on Goliath in a federal lawsuit against the Florida Bar for racketeering. She has also sued several judges for the legal abuse she has suffered via going to jail and being placed on house arrest for daring to try to save her mother's life from guardianship. In return for filing the most recent lawsuit, the judge in her mother's guardianship, Michael Genden, has issued a "show cause" order as to why she should not be held in contempt of court. The Order lists violating his Order, which prohibits Barbara from having any indirect or direct contact (ie knowing about her mother's neglect by the guardians), but is completely based upon hearsay and is thus, "no evidence." It certainly is replete with hearsay, which will not support a show cause order. The Judge is further trying to hold her in contempt for filing the Motion to Disqualify him due to his adverse interests. What a mess! Florida statutes say the Judge should disqualify himself because the 14th Amendment due process mandates it. See Caperton vs. Massey United States Supreme Court opinion (2009), which states that a judge must disqualify himself if there could be even an appearance of bias or impropriety, whether or not it subjectively exists. I think we have definitely met that standard here. The media will be at Monday's hearing, so let's cheer and encourage Barbara on as she helps write history!
On the March 26, 2015 episode of Liberal Dan Radio:
Ted Cruz has announced his candidacy. I will explain why he shouldn't be President because of one simple fact. I will also explain why that one simple fact has nothing to do with his place of birth.
Indiana and California are dealing with some very disturbing anti-gay legislation. I will go into each of those topics and give my opinion on them.
I will also be talking to my fellow Disney freak Kaden. Kaden lives in Florida and is very concerned about a new bathroom law that is being pushed in Florida and the impact it would have on transfolk like himself.
Those topics, headlines, tweet of the week, and more at 8pm Central on Liberal Dan Radio, Talk From The Left, That's RIght.

TONIGHT 9P- It's MONDAY MONEY and this evening we are discussing recent mayham in Florida. Lewd and lascivious behavior or simply exaggerated perspective of young adults just trying to have fun? We want to hear from you. Dial 917-889-3926 to comment LIVE. REAL TALK. REAL PEOPLE. #182: Shelly Hoerner, Head Coach, Georgia Tech, visits TCRS to preview the regular season finale for Tech as her team prepares for the Florida State Seminoles. Under Coach Hoerner's direction last season, Tech ranked third in the ACC in batting average (.297) and led the ACC in stolen bases per game (1.38). Meanwhile Georgia Tech pitchers lowered the ERA from 5.37 to 4.21 in her first season. Individually, Hoerner coached two All-ACC performers in Maddie Lionberger (1st team) and Ashley Thomas (2nd team). Coach Hoerner Twitter, Tech Softball Twitter, Tech Softball Facebook.
WE AMERICANS ARE VERY SPOILED. NO MATTER WHAT DISASTROUS SITUATIONS WE MIGHT SEE AROUND US, WE ALWAYS ASSUME THAT IT CAN'T HAPPEN TO US. UNFORTUNATELY, ONCE THE DISASTER STRIKES, IT IS OFTEN TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND WE BECAME DEPENDENT UPON THE GOVERNMENT TO HELP US.
WE'VE SEEN ALL TOO OFTEN THAT THE PEOPLE WHO COME OUT OF TRAGEDY THE FASTEST ARE THE ONES WHO DEVELOP A PLAN OF ACTION FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES. THEY ARE READY AS MUCH AS THEY CAN BE AND THE DISASTER IS OF MUCH LESS CONSEQUENCE. LIVES ARE SAVES, LIFE IS ABLE TO GO ON AND THE ENSUING HARD WORK TO RECOVER IS MUCH MORE MANAGEABLE. AFTER ALL, WHEN WE'RE OUT OF FOOD, WATER AND BASIC SHELTER IT IS HARD TO SURVIVE FOR LONG.
TODAY THE TYPES OF POTENTIAL DISASTER FACING US HAVE GROWN SIGNIFICANTLY. IN ADDITION TO FLOODS, HURRICANES, TORNADOES AND EARTHQUAKES, WE NOW SEE AN INCREASE IN MOB RIOTING ACTION, THREATS FROM FOREIGN ENTITIES WHO TRULY HATE AMERICA AS WELL AS THE POTENTIAL FOR A DEADLY AIR ASSAULT WHICH EVEN INCLUDES AN EMP BURST.
IN THIS EPISODE OF NORTH FLORIDA WRITER TALKS, MARK COLLIER JOINS ME TO TALK ABOUT THE THINGS WE NEED TO DO TO BE PREPARED FOR THAT HORRIBLE EVENT THAT WE HOPE NEVER HAPPENS. BUT LIFE CHANGES RAPIDLY, SO IT'S IMPORTANT TO PLAN AHEAD. JOIN ME, JAMES DICK, YOUR HOST WITH NORTH FLORIDA WRITER TALKS FOR WHAT I AM SURE WILL BE A ROUSING DISCUSSION. DON'T BE FEARFUL, JUST REALIZE THE CHALLENGES OUT THERE AND DO YOUR PART TO BE READY. FOR IN THE FIRST PERIOD OF TIME AFTER A DISASTER, YOU ARE REALLY ON YOUR OWN. GET YOUR "GAME PLAN" READY. SELF PRESERVATION IS AN INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY MATTER. YOU OWE IT TO YOUR LOVED ONES TO DO WHAT YOU MUST TO CARE FOR THEM.
