It's time to celebrate our 1 year anniversary of bringing you all the racing excitment, new car news, and other guy stuff you've come to expect from us weekly. We can't believe it's already been 50 episodes, and a whole year in service to your ears. We cannot thank you our fans enough for all of your support, and listening loyalty over the past year. We could think of no better way to celebrate this milestone for the show around the Christmas holiday than to give you one huge special episode! For fun we've each put together our Wheel Men Christmas list, composed of course wheeled dream machines, 150 year old booze, and other such stocking stuffers. Jay and Gorilla Steve will give us an action packed recount of the events from the recent Santa's Toy Run NASA sports car enduro weekend. We'll talk winter driving techniques to keep you out of the snowbanks. We will of course mash in some breaking auto news, rediculousness, and maybe have a contest or two... Grab a pen, at least one of our lists you'll want to make a copy of. Thanks for tuning in.... Note: A possible special guest may cause this description to change significantly, please check back for updates before the episode.
Ok so this week we will attempt our second live broadcast on location. The Gorilla and Jay will be at the NASA June Jam hanging out with Cawley Motorsports for the enduro and HPDE events over the weekend. We should be coming to you live after a dominating performance of Cawley's spec boxster in the enduro earlier on Friday. That is of course providing that we get the car finished, teched, and ready to rock in time. Remember we 'think' we are professionals! Either way it should be a good time and as long as the wizards who hold the key to internet connection in the middle of a race track are smiling on us we will bring you all that you can handle!! Should have some great surprise guests and a bunch of awesome grassroots racers who you have never heard of, but are awesome to race next to and have a beer with! So that's all I got, either Fantastic Voyage or Epic Failure, Tune in, Call in, and see what happens!! 347-945-6731

Those Diner and Motorcycle Guys Garrison and Ralph interview motorcyclist and travel writer Carla King.
Carla King’s “Motorcycle Misadventures” began when she was 14 years old in rural North Carolina. Carla identified the broken down old Honda Enduro in the barn as her escape vehicle and her dad said "If you can fix it you can ride it." And so her two-wheeled life journey began. In 1995,Carla did a 4-month stint as a test rider for Ural America during their R&D phase. testing and improving the bike for the American market. What eventually became the “Motorcycle Misadventures” series continued in China, India, Europe, and Africa on other cranky indigenous motorcycles like the Chinese Chang Jiang and the Royal Enfield Bullet. On the way, she’s authored many free ebooks, like Motorcycling for Beginners, and she’s been published in anthologies, like the great Travelers' Tales series and In Search of Adventure, as well as in newspapers and magazines.
When Carla returned home from China, she was invited to join a notorious writing group, the Wild Writing Women, twelve women adventure travel writers in the San Francisco Bay Area who met once monthly to workshop their stories, make dinner, drink and laugh and commiserate. They self-published Wild Writing Women: Stories of World Travel, which was an instant hit, so much so that it was picked up by a New York publishing house the following year and is now a classic. Carla then met Lisa Alpine, a travel and writing partner, and they founded Self-Publishing Boot Camp in 2010 which has grown continuously. Carla King is in demand now as a speaker at writing conferences and she is now the self-publishing columnist for PBS MediaShift.
