Global Product Management Talk is pleased to bring you episode 053 of...
The Everyday Innovator with host Chad McAllister, PhD.
The podcast is all about helping people involved in innovation and managing products become more successful, grow their careers, and STANDOUT from their peers.
About the Episode: Welcome to the one year anniversary of this podcast. I’m excited to review the key concepts I found most useful for product managers and innovators from the last 52 episodes. I heard Tim Ferriss do something similar on his podcast and thought it was really helpful and I think you will find it valuable for this podcast. Also, I want to share a product mastery roadmap I have been working on – a roadmap that tells you how to go from a product manager to a product master.
Before jumping in, I have some exciting news to share – thanks largely to this podcast, I was named a “Product Management Top 40 Influencer for 2015” on the Product Management Year in Review site. I’m honored and humbled to be on the list. I have had the pleasure of interviewing some of my fellow influencers. Others I have not yet interviewed but do follow, including Eric Ries, Steve Blank, and Guy Kawasaki.
We've talked about Live 365 in our previous episode in January and the word was (at that time), that LIVE 365 would still exist, just in a different form. The media published a news item a few weeks ago, in which it described a deal LIVE 365 had struck with Bluberry Media, in which they would create a new platform known as Live365/podcast2radio, which would allow podcasters to create their radio broadcasts from their podcast, for which they owned the royalties. But now, we can neither confirm or deny the truth in this supposition, as we get the infamous "404 error message" when we try to access the URL to this.
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN
Here is the link that shows what LIVE 365 had planned to do as a last ditch attempt to save the ship:
THE COLD REALITY
So is LIVE 365.com dead?
THE FUTURE OF INTERNET BROADCASTING
But what about the future of internet radio? Should we take this as a sign that since one of the best internet radio platforms that ever existed has died, that the rest of us won't survive? No. Tune in today and hear our prognostications as we look ahead to the future of internet broadcasting. And an even better question, how can we, the future leaders of internet radio, secure our position in this space so that no amount of legislation can disable our right to get our ideas to the masses.
Today we'll be talking about the future of internet radio, one of my favorite topics that is near and dear to my heart. As both a "real world" broadcaster for over 12 years and now an internet station owner/broadcaster, we all need to be keeping out eye on the internet radio industry. I'll tell you why in today's show!
Sound Exchange welcomes comments from listeners, musicians, and broadcasters. To give your opinion on the royalty negotiations and contact Sound Exchange about the things we are talking about in today's show, go here:

In 2014 the first of three LRNG Innovators Challenge grants were awarded to a range of educators across the country in support of designing interest-driven and production-centered opportunities for youth. Sponsored in partnership with the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and John Legend's Show Me Campaign, the LRNG Innovators Challenge continues to offer support for innovation and inquiry.
Join our conversation with Writing Project colleagues who led projects that were awarded 2014 LRNG Innovators Challenge grants to build interest-driven and learner-centered opportunities in schools. Our guests will talk about the connections they made, key questions raised in this work, and what all educators can learn working alongside youth as they produce, tinker, experiment, make, perform, and create in all sorts of ways, expanding time and space for connected learning.
This series recognizes students, parents, faculty and mentors for their support of STEM academic excellence, superior achievement, participation and success stories of those from minority, diverse and underserve communities.
Sankofa means that you look to the past to get what was useful there, and use it to move forward intelligently. February is known in America as Black History Month, but what about our Black future?? We need to know what we want to happen in our future. We need to know about the innovators right now who are creating and producing our future. Should we be following other cultures' ideas about what the future should bring? NO!!! Our future is what we make it...so let's talk about some recipes...
