From parents, to students, to administrators, teachers and policy makers, teachers around the country call out the real issues behind today’s declining U.S. education system. In pursuit of answers and solutions, educators will provide an in-depth analysis and insightful perspectives on the factors and variables that determine a student’s future.
Hosts Tammy Gaitor and Rodney Jordan look at each piece of the educational puzzle: from a cultural disconnect among teachers and students, to standardized testing, ineffective educational policies, inadequate administrators and most importantly, perspectives from “on the ground” soldiers in the battle for educational equality.
Backed with hands-on experience and keen insights, Gaitor and Jordan conclude that America’s educational system is in a state of crisis; and, unless significant actions are taken, the system will continue to rapidly decline.

Matt Frendewey is the National Communications Director for The American Federation for Children. Led by the NEA and AFT, the national teachers' unions boasted of spending $80 million in this election to defeat candidates who support vouchers, teacher accountability and other promising education reforms. They lost. And they lost big.
The number one target for school choice opponents was Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, an unapologetic supporter of vouchers for kids in the struggling under-performing schools. The unions spent millions to defeat Walker – three times – and they lost all three times.
The American Federation for Children and the Alliance for School Choice seek to improve our nation’s K-12 education by advancing systemic and sustainable public policy that empowers parents, particularly those in low-income families, to choose the education they determine is best for their children.

Kristin Peterson is a Janesville native and a filmmaker. While she is working on her own short film Dog*Walk, for the past 3 years, Kristin’s been closely involved with Beloit International Film Festival where she works as a programmer and other things. We spoke about what Kristin learned from watching over 3,000 films, the importance of sound, and how we could get Angelina Jolie to work with small independent moviemakers.
Amy Stevens is a professor of special education at UW-Whitewater. Amy stopped in to talk about the work she does in Jamaica where she goes annually to help train local teachers, what she learned from her experience, how great the island nation’s needs are, and how little things from America, can make a huge difference in a one-room school house in Jamaica.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
In today's world, with so many different Christian denominations, it is very difficult and confusing for people to choose who they should follow and how they should worship. The bible gives us the answer to these questions. The bible describes the characteristics of true and false Pastors and Teachers, as well as what they will be doing and what they will be teaching. We welcome you to join us, as we examine the scriptures to see what God says about these things and see if your Pastor, Reverend, Bishop , Deacon, Teacher, or Elder is a true or false minister of God and Christ. That is, if you can handle the truth?
We air programs on Blog Talk Radio at the following times: Sun 2:00pm, Mon 8:00pm, Tue 8:00pm, Wed 7:00pm, Thur 8:00pm, Fri 7:00pm & Sat 9:00am. All times are Eastern Standard Time.
The deaths of Oral Roberts, Paul Crouch and more recently, the tragic death of Myles Monroe, have once again caused conversation, confusion and controversy within the body of Christ. Some Christians believe it's inappropriate, poor timing and bad taste for Christians to say anything negative about the lives of those who preached a different Jesus or a different gospel that have died. Others hold to a different view and believe whenever statements about false teachers aren't true, it is the responsibility of the believer to speak the truth in an attempt to hinder the further spreading of misinformation and deception.
What should be the attitude of Christians toward families of false teachers who have died? What does the Bible say?

I am a student; a continual learner. For me, the journey of growth and evolution has no finish line.
I pay attention to the spiritual teachers that inspire me and challenge me to think about my journey and my work in a new way, such as Elizabeth Gilbert, Rob Bell, Elizabeth Lesser, Marianne Williamson, Byron Katie & Esther Hicks.
But if we want to know where to find the greatest spiritual teachers for our lives, we need look no further than our closest personal relationships.
Unlike traditional teachers who are there to impart wisdom, our closest relationships are there to expose all the parts of us that we don’t really want to own, to teach us about forgiveness and acceptance, to bring to light our beliefs about our ability to love and be loved.
What is the difference between a false teacher/prophet and one who teaches error? Are teachers who teach error also false teachers/prophets? How do we recognize them and what is the importance of doing so? What should I do if I discover that my pastor is a false teacher? How should we deal with false teachers/prophets? Just pray and let God handle it? Are their false prophets/teachers within the Body Of Christ or are they in other religions? We'll tackle these questions and more on Real Talk Radio, this and every Sunday, 10am est. To listen live, just call 661-449-9951!
