    Zedekiah's Vain Hope

    in Religion

"Then King Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned instead of Conish the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah. But neither he nor his servants nor the people of the land gave heed to the words of the Lord which He spoke by the prophet Jeremiah.  And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, "Pray now to the Lord our God for us."

    Nepal and End-Time Earthquakes

    in Religion

"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place." All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish]. (Matthew 24:7-8 AMP)

"[God] Who removes the mountains, and they know it not when He overturns them in His anger; Who shakes the earth out of its place, and the pillars of it tremble" (Job 9:5-6 AMP)

Why does God allow earthquakes?  Is it because of the refusal to obey His laws?

Miraculous Healing Update With The Colonel and Evangelist Joseph Edward

    in Religion

    http://www.theelijahchallenge.org/

The Elijah Challenge trains committed disciples, missionaries, and servants of God to proclaim the kingdom of God effectively to non-Christian, gospel-resistant people groups by closely following the approach used by Jesus and his disciples in the New Testament where actual evidence for the truth of the gospel was seen—miraculous healings from God following prayer. The goal is the fulfillment of the Great Commission: making disciples of all nations and teaching them to obeyeverything Jesus commanded his disciples.

Over the last 15 years the Lord has made us very fruitful, training tens of thousands of disciples in over 40 countries around the world and counting. Many of these servants of God are now preaching the gospel and laboring very fruitfully in harvest fields around the world.

Tithing: Additions to the Law of Moses

    in Christianity

There are several references outside of the written Law (Torah: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers & Deuteronomy) which include additions or clarifications to that which was already established. These all do, however, refer back specifically to the written Law.

A King Over Israel (1 Samuel 8:6-22) By rejecting God as their sovereign leader, the Israelites would be required to pay additional costs; monetary, their sons and daughters, animals, servants and land would all be required by their king. They would serve the king, instead of God. And they would cry out to God to deliver them from their leader, and God would not hear them.

Hezekiah and the Restoration (2 Chronicles 30:23-31:21) The people were encouraged to keep the feast going; the King made a large donation (of goods he had received as taxes from the people, as previously warned by God), and the priests and Levites made an even larger donation. The people rejoiced, partied, then broke down the idols (they had been worshiping), then went home. The priestly duties, which had ceased, were restored.

The Law of Moses is summarized in verses 20-21. Because Hezekiah did what was right, God prospered him. This was the best they could hope for; a surface relationship with a God who provided for their physical needs, peace, etc. as long as they did what He told them to do. The Israelites had to fulfill their part BEFORE God would fulfill His part, But God never intended that the Law define His relationship with His people; its purpose was to reveal that there was nothing we could do to BRING OURSELVES into relationship with Him. It was something ONLY HE, AND HE ALONE, COULD DO. With the Resurrection, Jesus concluded both parts of the covenant: He did our part and the Father's, once and for all, permanently.

"Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies." (Proverbs 31:10 KJV)  The words of King Lemuel's mother resounds throughout generations to this day.  The intimate conversation between a  mother and her son to instruct him in wisdom and the key to his good success.  As we eavesdrop on a mother sharing her heart in preparing her son for life, one might become intimidated by the supernatural qualities this woman seems to possess:  She's a wife, a mother, a business woman.  She owns land and has servants.  She's shrewd yet prudent in her business and personal affairs and manages her time well.  She's trustworthy and well respected within her home by her husband, children and in her community and is known abroad.  This sister has it going on!  How can a woman of this century even come close to this woman?  Is it possible to be everything to everyone without losing yourself in the process?  How can we become the woman that this Proverbial 31 sister has modeled?

Join us as we explore the makings of the Proverbs 31 woman.  Visit our page at the Kingdom United Ministries Network website and invite others to "Like", join and share.  You are welcome!

Faith in the Kingdom of GOD -# 5

    in The Bible

Faith in the Kingdom of GOD
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 12:28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
Matthew 19:24And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Matthew 21:31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

What are the Rewards of the Righteous?

    in Religion

"And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be." (Revelation 22:12)

God is a fair God.  He will reward those who endure until the end.

"But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." (Matthew 24:13)

"And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." (Romans 8:17-18)

What rewards will the righteous receive?

    Indie Books #85 (Jeffrey Stayton)

    in Books

Tune in and join me as I welcome this week's guest.

Author Jeffrey Stayton joins me this week to talk about his novel: This Side of the River

Told from multiple narrators, this gritty tale takes place in the summer of 1865 after the Confederacy has collapsed. A contingent of young Civil War widows who have survived General Sherman's March to the Sea rally around a teenage, Christ-haunted Texas Ranger named Cat Harvey to travel to Ohio to burn down Sherman's home. This compelling tale explores themes of trauma, revenge, redemption, and the disorder known then as nostalgia or soldier's heart. Author Corey Mesler proclaimd This Side of the River yarn-spinning of the highest order. Stayton's narrative, which gives Confederate soldiers body servants a voice that few Civil War stories do, will burn bright long after you ve put the book down.

Baltimore Trouble, similar to Temple Trouble.

    in Religion

The devil has a million reasons for you to die. GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR YOU TO LIVE.  Listen to the Holy Spirit through Pastor Fran who is highly concerned for the saftey of both citizens and public servants "Police Officers" through out the USA.  Reference Ezra 4-6, Haggai and Zecharian.

When sections of Baltimore erupted in violence on Monday, Bishop Walter Thomas, a local pastor at the New Psalmist Baptist Church, received a call for clergymen to gather at North Avenue in an effort to restore calm in a city reeling from the death of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old who mysteriously died in police custody last week.

Thomas found himself among a line of 175 pastors, their arms linked together, as they worked to clear Baltimore’s main thoroughfare, urging groups of young men and women to go home. Baltimore’s police waited several hundred yards behind them, hoping the clergymen could disperse the crowd in their stead, according to Thomas.
