Are you a friend of God? Let's study the word before you answer....

    in Christianity

The Lord Jesus Christ said we are His friends if we follow His commands. One of His commands is to renew our minds so we will think like He does, and we will be united as one, to the pleasing of God the Father.

Renewing our minds is all about the Holy Spirit bringing the truth of the Word of God into our lives, and then us allowing that truth to transform us so our thoughts, actions, attitudes and our very being comes into agreement with God. Because there is one truth, and One Spirit, all Christians should be of the same mind when it comes to the kingdom of God. Sadly the church is divided because many Christians have not renewed their minds to think like the Lord Jesus Christ.

We must renew our minds - to have the mind of Christ - to think like He does. Then and only then can we be counted as friends who  can fellowship with Him, who share the same likes and dislikes, who seek only to please the Father.

Are you a friend of God?

Please join us for the study of God's word.

Tonight's program is entitled,  God's Body Builders; "Leadership The Jesus Way". I wanted to go back and reinterate some of the great qualities that are displayed by
obedient called out servants, because last week I spent alot of time speaking on the negative behaviors that some of us display, but the truth of the matter is that there are far more leaders who strive daily to do exactly what the Lord says, when He says, and in the manner that He tells them to.

There are far more leaders who pray daily that God will help them to be all that He needs for them to be in order for others to become what He wants them to become in Him. There truly are more called out servants that love like Jesus, teach like Jesus, and serve like Jesus, because they go like Jesus in all of their ways at all times! They are leaders who strive daily to do all things the Jesus way.

"A MORE SURE WORD OF PROPHECY"

    in Christianity

In the existing state of religious declension, there is crying need of earnest, faithful Nehemiahs and Ezras,--men who will not shun to call sin by its right name, and who will not shrink from vindicating the honour of God. Those upon whom God has laid the burden of his work are not to hold their peace, and cover prevailing evils with a cloak of false charity. Men of courage and energy are needed to expose fashionable sins. Iniquity must not be palliated and excused. Those who lead the church of God to follow the customs and practices of the world, are not to be lauded and exalted. No regard for family or position will hinder the faithful servants of Christ from guarding the interests of his people. God is no respecter of persons. Great light and special privileges bring increased responsibility. When those who have been favoured or honoured of God, commit sin, their influence goes very far to encourage others in transgression. And if, by their example, the faith of another is weakened, and moral and religious principle is broken down, the wrath of God will surely come upon those betrayers of their sacred trust.--ST, January 24, 1884 par. 9.

Supernatural Faith Prayer Line - Pastor R.T. Whaley 0800-1000 M-F

    in Christianity

1 Hear ye now what the Lord saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.

2 Hear ye, O mountains, the Lord's controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the Lord hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.

3 O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.

4 For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

5 O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the Lord.

6 Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?

7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil?

8He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

9 The Lord's voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.

10 Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable?

11Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?

12 For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.

13 Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.

Matthew 22:1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

Proverbs What are you gaining through studying the book of #proverbs

    in Writing

The proverbs in Chapters 25-29 were collected by the men of Hezekiah who was a godly king until late in his life 2 kings 18-20

25:2-3 both God and kings are unfathomable; their respective subjects cannot entirely comprehend their knowledge and motives. A matter may include science and creation 1 Kings 4:33, Philosophyec 1:13 and personal motives and legal testimony pr 18:17;25:8 and 28:11 God is glorious because his creation is so intricate Job 38-41. Kings gain Glory delving into things that improve their ability to rule.

Wow how powerful is this chapter?

25:5 the people in the kings presence are his servants, official,s and advisers. For a throne to be established suggests at least uncontested rule, and possibly a dynasty

Deepertruth: The Catholic Church Was Established Necessary For Salvation

    in Religion

Genesis 17:5 God changes Abrams name to Abraham depicting this truth. Abram spiritually means“Father”, while Abraham means “Father of a host of nations”.

This change from Abram to Abraham is very significant because it points to the seed that would ultimately come, it is a foreshadowing the Messiah: Isaiah 11:1,“But a shoot shall spout from the stump of Jesse, and from his roots a bud shall blossom. The spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him”.

Jesse: David’s Father. Stump: After the Babylonian exile, only a stump of the Davidic Dynasty will remain; from it will arise the new shoot, the Messianic King. Also the root meaning of the word bud refers to the word NESER which hits the root of NAZIR which translates toNAZARETH. Jesus would be called Jesus the Nazarene!

Jesus Himself fulfills the prophecies of the Old Testament. What I am addressing at this point is the work that Jesus did. Isaiah spoke of the Lord’s servants: “no weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication from me, says the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

    4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
