Respect For Our Inherent Human Worth with Instructor/Imam Ben Bilal

    in Spirituality

Instructor/Imam Benjamin Bilal is our guest speaker on this live show with his topic "Respect For Our Inherent Human Worth." This is his show discussion statement: No baby is born consciously knowing what his or her "race" or "religion" is. We are all born into this world, however, with natural instincts, urges and tendencies that are designed to save us from danger and attach us to family members and to a human community of safety and security. Inaccurate ideas of race and religion have severed natural family ties, created false ethnic and racial superiority theories, and have allowed many in history to very arrogantly step into the position that only a true "Creator" should occupy. In order to have peace and progress on earth, we must first return to a respect for our inherent human worth as our Creator created it. - We explore the solutions to peaceful co-existence on earth with our fellow humans whether we be Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Agnostic, Atheist or other. The first question should be: 'Am I a true human?'"

Spirituality part 2 with Imam Ben Bilal

    in Self Help

Imam Benjamin Bilal will the guest speaker on this re-broadcast show addressing the timely topic of Spirituality part 2, continuing his discussion from his last visit. Regarding Spirituality he says the following:
"Spirituality" is not to be seen as separate from the material and social life of man. The material life is actually the densest form of spiritual existence, which is the "true" existence. Real life is pertaining to the life of the soul, or what I have dubbed the 'breathing conscience'. It gives birth to proper emotional, mental and psychic life - all of which are invisible and represent aspects of the spiritual life. In reality, they are all ONE! "Spirit" only means "influence" and if you can get control of the invisible things that influence your visible life on a daily basis, you can maintain control over all of the various manifestations of that life, which will allow you access to peace, freedom, and wellness. He will also compare ideals in various religions and talk about the 7 Chakras as it relates to gratitude and spirituality.

An Islamic view on Jesus (the) Christ w/Imam Ayman Abdul-Mujeeb of L.A. Calif.

    in Lifestyle

This is your host Michael Saahir of Indianapolis, IN. Listen to our blog-talk radio show WORDS MAKE PEOPLE on Sunday April 26, 2015 from 1-3 p.m. (EST) for an insightful discussion titled: An Islamic view on Jesus (the) Christ with Imam Ayman Abdul-Mujeeb of Los Angeles, Calif. Imam Abdul-Mujeeb is the Imam of the Bilal Ibn Rabah Islamic Center in Los Angeles. He has been a student of Imam W. Deen Mohammed since 1975.

IMAM W. Deen Mohammed shared, "We know Muhammed the Prophet (peace be upon him) lived on this earth. We know his family members still survive. Where are the family members of Jesus? They are trying to find James the brother of Jesus Christ; they thought they found him. But just recently in the paper they said it turned out to be bogus, false. So they don't have it, there is no record of it. I believe – and I'm not asking you to believe as I believe. Believe what you're comfortable with. I believe that these other Prophets are types only and the type was not in a single human being only, the type was in their people."

The Muslim American experience has produced many insightful concepts into the Word of G_d that are designed to unite the family of humanity upon a G_d consciousness that respects all people. Join us as we present concepts surrounding the great legacy of Jesus (the) Christ. We are sure you will leave this conversation enlightened and forward moving.

Universal Dimensions of Leadership: Imam Mohammed (ra) The Truth About Evolution

    in Education

“I agree with Darwin in part this physical image and likeness belongs to the animal kingdom, its talking about, although there is something special about our physical symmetry and our design, something special about it that makes us the top of the animal kingdom.

But when G’d says He made us in His image and likeness I think G’d is saying to Christians and its what we believe in Islam too, that man though he’s physical, he needs the physical to exist, for communication, for his existence in this world he is a spiritual entity, man is a spiritual entity.  Man is to be understood in the abstract not in the concrete, he is to be known and identified in the abstract not in the concrete.”
