Images Modeling Troupe was founded on the campus of Florida State University in 1985. The purpose was simple...to provide a forum for folks who loved fashion and comradere! Today, we're inviting anyone who has or is a part of that legacy to come on this show and talk about your experience as a Images Model. We're going to have an allstar panel of original members who helped make it happen on BTR's the Conversation! Call in and share this moment with us (917) 932-1078....This is a special Monday Night show!!!
Who doesn't love a personality theory? Unfortunately, to many readers, personality systems seem like checklists, confining boxes, or games and gimmicks. We know we're all unique and in some ways we never stop changing; at the same time, we humans do fall into groups that are somewhat predictable. A useful personality theory needs to define, explain, predict and still leave room for flexibility and uniqueness.
Building on Jungian philosophy and deep personal observation, Ruth Johnston presents a living model of human personality. In this interview, we'll be talking about one of the building-block ideas: inborn, instinctive knowledge. Parts of our personalities are flexible and learn easily, while other parts are idealistic, confident and a bit rigid. We're different because each personality has these parts arranged in its own way.
Ruth, an old high school friend of mine, will join me to talk about these personality ideas by using some classic movies as illustrations. Some Frank Capra, some Film Noir, a surprise pick she won't tell me about in advance. I've been reading her book and I'm looking forward to talking movies and personality!
Re-modeling the Mind is available at Amazon. For additional info we didn't have time to finish in the interview, visit Ruth's blog at: http://re-modelingthemind.com/wp/2015/11/16/who-are-you-radio-interview/
What up 9MIND Sacred Sistuhs and Others? Peace, prosperity, excwllen health and wisdom be upon we and those love 4ever. Tonight we will continue talking about how Black Media and Images are (always) used to program Blacks (African Americans) and Coloreds (mulattos) while enriching and expanding the wealth and empires of non Black Kabals globally. Many who had already enriched themselves in the trafficking and enslavement of Brown, Black, Yellow and White flesh. Many have sought to be free from exploitation and control but for some reason we called Black/AA (enjoy) being OWNED by everyone but ourselves.
And I would simply like to know WHY?
Again I will offer my 9MIND perspective on why it is in 2015 the richest and wealthiest Black Americans in the world have (no) Blak Media of their own that rivals the Media Corporations such as NBC, CBS, ABC, TBS, CNN, MTV, BET, Viacom, ect... that they certainly love to work for? Now the exception would be a station called BOUNCE but it confines itself only to current and vintage Blk movies. Not any news format that discuss Blk issues and situations that pertain (only) to those of BlK hue. Now I do watch Bounce from time to time but it is clear to me that this station is there so the early BLACKLOITATION MOVIES that helped program Black Americans into base behavior and endless negative sterotypes that we still promote and face TODAY will forever be seen and memorialized. WOW, TV, a invention we are now addicted to and we assumed was our (friend) but has been strategically used to destroy the self esteem of Blk men, Blk women and program our Blk children and distort our true purpose for existing and most of all ONENESS. Alright then, Let's get it innn.....
Our guest on Metalsmith Benchtalk on Thursday, November 5th, 2015 at 3:00 pm PST is Marc Choyt, president of Reflective Images Jewelry and the first licensed Fairtrade jeweler in America!
If you have a question for our guest, please log onto the chatroom at Blogtalkradio.com or send a message to Whaley Studios via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
For the past ten years Marc has taken action against dirty gold and the blood diamond atrocity. He began writing, speaking and campaigning about ethical sourcing jewelry issues. This lead to the co-founding of Fair Jewelry Action in 2009. Reflective Images also began to introduce the option of Fairtrade gold into their work in 2011.
In April 2015, after ten years as ethical sourcing pioneers, Reflective Images Jewelry became the first licensed Fairtrade Jeweler in the USA. Marc worked hard with Fair Trade International to bring this about, and he continues to guide Fair Trades' launch in the US market as their main commercial liaison: providing critical contacts to main suppliers and laying the groundwork for more jewelers to enter the system. Since 1995, under Helen's creative direction, Reflective Images continues to craft jewelry that brings benefit and beauty to the world.

There was a time when childhood was a period of innocence. Today, with the Internet sending graphic sexual images to every device at our fingertips, that childhood innocence is gone. Are we introducing too much sex too soon to our children? How is it affecting them? There is a scene inSpike Lee's controversial, new film Chiraq in which the lead Character, played by Nick,Cannon has a flashback to a childhood memory in which he walks in on his mother having sex. It gives some insight as to why he later has such disrespect for women. There is a reason why so many children are conceived without love or intention by parents. How do we reclaim innocence for our children and introduce sexuality to them with the wholesome spiritual understanding in a manner that is age appropriate? How dowe protect them from the emotional trauma of public images of too much sex too soon?
There was a time before television that childhood was a period of innocence. All that is gone now. With the Internet sending graphic sexual images to every device at our fingertips, childhood innocence is gone. What effect is this having on our children. In the controversial, film Chiraq about Chicago's gang violence, there is a graphic flashback scene in which the lead character, played by Nick Cannon, walks in on his mother having sex. This gives insight as to perhaps what happened that destroyed his respect for women. Today, our youth are raised in a culture with no consciousness of morals or family values. As a result children are conceived often without love or intention. Are we introducing too much sexuality to our children too soon and in a negative way that emotionally traumatized them? How do we take back control of the minds of our children and introduce spirituality to sexuality in a way that is wholesome and age appropriate

Show Topic: This particular Unwritten Philosophy (UP) "You Can't Keep it, Unless You Give it Away" is a mandate for those in the treatment process with some experience under their belt, to bring the "Recovery Infants" along. It's a mandate for those who are providers with a Recovery background, to share the knowledge, with those who need teaching and role modeling. But there is a twist!! This (UP) could just as easily be" Don't keep it, You Must Give it Away". We'll explain.
