Forgiveness is so hard for so many of us. We are so quick to say, "I forgive you but I will never forget." This is our way of holding on the hurt and pain we feel because betrale and other sins that have been commited against us.
Join us as Angela and I walk you through the lessons that God is teaching on Forgiveness.
Too many times in our lives we find ourselves addressing our failures. Or do we? Do we simply tell ourselves we have failed when in reality, we haven’t been honest with ourselves from the beginning. Maybe we have measured our success against others or what influences us. So, would things be different in our lives is we truthfully answer the question “what, for me, is success” and then followed that truth? On this episode of Changing Direction, Wharton School Professor Richard Shell joins Michele to discuss the true meaning of success; what bring happiness and content as opposed to meeting expectations. Drawing on his decades of research, Shell offers personalized assessments to help you probe your past, imagine your future, and measure your strengths. He then combines these with the latest scientific insights on everything from self-confidence and happiness to relationships and careers. For a complete bio on our guest, please visit www.ChangeYouChoose.com Michele’s shows combine scientific research, cutting-edge guests and personal stories that highlight the challenges and successes of deliberately deciding to change the direction of your life. Salvation has to do with what we believe as it relates to our daily living which corresponds to our confession of faith. There are things which are actionable on our part which take us past the point of just asking the Lord into our hearts; which are manifested our daily living as we become practitioners of what we preach (say from our mouths). In order to achieve this, there are some things that we must do. Join us tonight as we discuss the topic “What must I do to be saved?”
What is the quality of life for the average US Veteran? One thing I know, from experience. The average veteran turns fault on self before pointing fingers. When will Veterans get to the top of America's to-do-list? We tweeted this question and this show to every group listed below. I pose the same quesion to every American. When will Veterans get to the top of all Americans to-do-list?
President Barack Obama
Congress 435 members
Senate 100 members
Governors 50 of y'all
State legislators salaried too
Mayors across America
Clergy especially y'all with great donations thanks to 501c
When will Veterans get to the top of America's To-Do-List. Veterans are some of America's proudest citizens. They voluntarily gave their time to make America as safe as possible. They are not receiving the return they deserve.
Veterans need all kinds of services average citizen needs as well as services that are totally service related. The kindest thing I can say about saying to veterans "thank you for your service is that statement is comes across as disingenuous. There are veterans we meet everyday who we do not know to be veterans. This is why saying thank you for your service is not enough. Veterans need to feel in their everyday life that America is indeed thankful for the services given to this "ungrateful country. And guess what guys? Veterans will scold me for saying this country is ungrateful, for the veterans I know love this country and have never ever said a negative word about America. I know veterans who died early and I attribute those early deaths to suffering and disappointment they lived with after serving this country.
When will Veterans get to the top of America's to-do-list?
