Laurie Beth welcomes Shane Hipps, author of the new book, "Cats Don't Bark: A Guide to Knowing Who you are, Accepting Who You Are Not, and Living Your Unique Purpose."
At some point in life everyone is compelled to ask the primorial question--Why am I here? How we answer that question determines whether or not we will discover our true calling in life and harness our full professional, personal, and spiritual potential.
Many counterfeit voices will offer an answer, but the one true voice whispers from the inside. CATS DON'T BARK provides powerful techniques to help the reader listen for the "One Voice" and find the courage to follow it. This is a book about discovering who we are, accepting who we are not, and cultivating the habits we need to discover and embrace who we were meant to be.
Shane Hipps is an award winning author and sought after speaker. He currently serves as the Chief Leadership Officer for Aspen Heights, a national real estate development company. His focus is on leadership and human development. Through his unique coaching techniques, training, and workshops, he unlocks purpose, potential, and creativity. Noted film critics and avid fans rant and rave about the movies of Hugh Jackman. Former co-host Jazz Shaw and award-winning blogger Fausta Rodriguez share their reactions to films through 2009, followed by a discussion of movies released after 2009 by film historian James Colt Harrison and entertainment journalist Diana Saenger. Although probably known best for his Wolverine role in the X-Men movies, this talented Australian actor boasts numerous films and TV shows to his credit, plus he’s also garnered acclaim for his outstanding performances in stage musicals, even winning a Tony for The Boy from Oz. And don’t forget Jackman’s Emmy -- which he earned for his entertaining turn as host of the Tony Awards. Jackman won additional fans with his rousing stint as host of the Academy Awards in 2009. An Oscar nomination and Golden Globe win for his emotional portrayal of Jean Valjean in Les Misérables have served to increase his popularity. Jackman’s latest role is Blackbeard in Pan, released on October 9, 2015.
Grayson Hugh is Back To The Soul with a new album, returning to his blue-eyed southern soul sound, country and rock roots. Grayson tells host Robin Milling the inspiration for the album and stories behind such songs as the title cut, Rock 'n Roll Man, Getting On With My Life and Already In Love With You; a tribute to his marriage of seven years to wife and collaborator in life and music, Polly Messer.
Grayson says the album is a return to his soul both musically and spiritually. He explains, 'A song like Thank You Lord; I'm very grateful to be alive, be sober 11 years and my gratitude also being happily married finally after many dysfunctional relationships I'm very grateful to my higher power.'

Laurie Beth Jones is excited to introduce Rev. Jennifer D. Crumpton to discuss her new book, Femmevangelical: The Modern Girl's Guide to the Good News.
Rev. Jennifer D. Crumpton is an author, media commentator, columnist for Patheos and Huffington Post, and public speaker on topics at the intersection of politics, culture, social justice, and women's lives. After more than a decaade as an advertising executive for Fortune 500 companies, she reconsidered her calling and earned a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary. Jennifer is active in women's equality, multi-religious peace and security movements, and LGBTQ equality. Jennifer lives in New York City.
Femmevangelical is about the damaging social contradictions, pervasive patriarchal structure, and oppressive gender biases that are leading women to abandon formal religions! Also the author of the popular blog, Femmevangelical, Jennifer takes us on a jouney to find the good news in the gospel of Jesus that encourages us to seek a different reality of equality, freedom, and wholeness.
“Unburdening Souls at the Speed of Thought” is about the transformative journey to wholeness that was modeled by Christ and is accelerated by a ground-breaking therapy known as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
The process described in psychologist Dr. Andrew J. Dobo’s book occurs in six stages, which are mirrored by six moments Christ modeled in his Passion. Psychology and religion collide in the book’s incredible tales, which move from despair to hope, hate to love, and fear to contentment. This is a book that will give hope to those suffering mental anguish as they are exposed to a new map of the soul modeled by Christ and shared by psychology. It shows how survivors of trauma can heal and overcome negative beliefs about themselves. It’s for those who want to better understand the workings of the soul and for those who do not even imagine such a thing exists. And it will fascinate any reader interested in the power of the mind.
Dr. Andrew Dobo was first trained in the use of EMDR more than 14 years ago. He has treated hundreds of patients and participated in literally thousands of EMDR sessions in his private psychology practice in Sebastian, Florida. He is a licensed psychologist in Florida.
