    Michael Barone is a nationally recognized expert on American politics and history, a senior political analyst for the Washington Examiner, and the author of the New York Times bestseller Our First Revolution and Hard America, Soft America. A resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, he is also a Fox News Channel contributor and coauthor of The Almanac of American Politics. His nationally syndicated column is published twice weekly and he blogs regularly for the Examiner’s  Beltway Confidential site. His latest book is titled Shaping Our Nation: How Surges of Migration Transformed America and Its Politics.
     
    Brenda Lenard is a candidate for the US Senate in Tennessee’s 2014 election. She is a PhD candidate in political science at the University of Tennessee, has a Master’s Degree in public administration from Kennesaw State University, is a former private bank advisor for Heritage Bank, and HSE supervisor at MCI.

    WHERE'S CHARLES! Missing Charles KJ Horvath-Allan

    Joining me tonight is JennyNJerry Boone, Founders of the MissingNMurdered group and Charles' mother, Denise Allan.
    Charles was just 20 years old when he went missing, back in August of 1989, and is presumed murdered. Charles' body has never been found.
    Charles left Leeds/Bradford Airport in Yorkshire to fly to Canada to visit the Country of his birth, his natural father and god-father.
    His journey took him from Quebec across the country to British Columbia.
    May 11, 1989  Charles sent his final letter home to Mom by fax from Kelowna BC Canada. During his time in Kelowna Charles was registered at local student job agencies and had accepted various jobs. 11 May 198 Charles registered and camped in one of the local Trailer Parks in Lakeshore Road.
    May 26, 1989: Charles collected his pay from Flinstones Adventure Park and cashed it at The Royal Bank Orchard Park, Kelowna British Columbia Canada.

    It is sometimes referred to as the “San Francisco Exodus of 1858” a little-known part of the City’s history in which hundreds of African Americans fled discrimination and the threat of slavery for the safety of a Canadian exile. Choreographer Joanna Haigood and her Zaccho Dance Theatre (www.zaccho.org) are marking the iconic event with free public performances of her powerful work Sailing Away. Performances will be given in three continuous cycles, September 13, 14, 15, and 16 at 12noon, 1:30pm and 3pm daily starting at Market Street and Powell. Tuesday, School Assembly with performance at Bayview Opera House, 4705 Third Street, San Francisco, Tuesday, September 11, 10:30 a.m. The artists from Sailing Away will perform excerpts, joined by a lively discussion, and a performance from Dr. Susheel Bibbs’ one woman performance portraying 19th Century civil rights activist, Mary Ellen Pleasant.  Panel Discussion at California Historical Society, 678 Mission Street (at 3rd Street), san Francisco.
