Self publishing a book can be worth it if you understand the process. During today's show, we will explore some of those steps and help you decide is self-publishing is right for you!
Plan to join Kelli Claypool in this refreshing episode of DivaTalkRadio.
The economy of today's self-publishing landscape is far beyond bleak for most well-intentioned book authors. In fact, there is no shortage of those who claim to have the right ingredients for you to become the next book best-seller. That's right! All you have to do is hand over the cash and watch your book sales soar. For independent book authors who are actively integrated in the self-publishing industry, claims such as there are commonly nothing more than an enormous pile of hype. The average independent (self-published) or traditionally publishing book author sells an average of only 200 units. If you were to be paid a royalty of $5.00 per book, you would make a whopping $1000 which is likely far less than you invested just in your marketing plan. So, the ethical question is: Can you profitably write, market, and sell enough books to recoup your literary investment? Like most start-up book authors, is it possible to effectively self-publish your work on a small literary budget? That is our focus on this edition of, “The Strategist Radio LIVE."
