Horrible Bosses 2 & Foxcatcher Review

    in Movies

AreYouScreening.com and BFCA critic, Marc Eastman, and co-host extraordinaire, Shane Leonard, review Horrible Bosses 2 and Foxcatcher.

Expectations for Horrible Bosses 2 will rightfully be all over the place, but Foxcatcher has managed a lot of interesting reactions from festival screenings. The story might be an odd one, and if you know it, you may wonder if you need a film version of the crazy, but we'll let you know if this one is the must-see critics are describing.

    The Horrible Game

    in Comedy

Episode 148 “The Horrible Game” In an accidentally UK-themed episode, Marc and John talk embarrassingly bad national anthem singing, the origins of “The Star Spangled Banner” as a British drinking song, revisit RocPodfest 2014 and play a new game “Recasted” which fails miserably.  Plus an idea for a board game about impressions and a Guinness-themed  End of Show Food rescue the show in the nick of time.

The Harshnesses and Upsides of Depression, Part Two

We all seem to know what depression is and what it does. Maybe even why we are depressed. That time that we are in depression is truly a very special time in so many ways. The rawness of depression and the results of depression set the pace for the next part of your life, yet why do we feel so so horrible during that process? What is going on in our heads and why the defeated feelings that make us feel like we are not able to get up, sleep, eat none at all or eat too much and feel like we have no plans, goals, things to look forward to and a life that has meaning? What happens after the depression? We tend to trench ourselves so deeply in depression that the way out is something we cannot see. When They Knew God; All our Righteousness are as Filthy Rags Part5 Isaiah 64:6

    in Religion

Committing Even the Smallest Sins Make Us Guilty of ALL

NOT BY WORKS of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us” (Titus 3:5). Read the following words spoken in Isaiah, “But we are ALL as an unclean thing, and ALL our righteousnesses are as FILTHY RAGS; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away” (Isaiah 64:6). God hates sin so much that He can’t even describe it in words we would understand. So God instead tells us what He thinks about all the good things we do—they’re nothing but filthy rags in His sight. Don’t misunderstand—God loves good works, but God hates when we trust our self-righteousness to get us into Heaven. Salvation is receiving, not giving. If you are trying to please God with the nice things you do in hopes of making it to Heaven someday, you're in for a horrible surprise! Why? Because committing ONE SIN makes us guilty of ALL in the eyes of God... “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet OFFEND IN ONE POINT, he is GUILTY OF ALL” (James 2:10). Whoa! That doesn’t sound too fair does it? The point is that a sinner is a sinner. Whether you sin once or a thousand times, you are still a sinner in need of a Savior. Adam and Eve sinned just once but that was enough to bring them under the condemnation and judgment of Almighty God.
