MONDAY IS PANIC DAY!
One of the most powerful forces in the universe is hope--the happy, confident anticipation that something good is going to happen. Hope sustains you through your darkest times and is the fuel you eed to realize your freams.
Whatever your circumstances may be, it is impossible to live life to the fullest without hope. But seeking this sustenance in the wrong things--a professional poisition or another person--eventually leads to disappointment. Hope is only as strong as its source, and when it's based on faith in God, you'll find unwavering hope in endless supply.
Hope is the topic of the message today. My introductory comments were taken from a new book entitled, "Get Your Hopes Up!" by Joyce Meyer as an encouragement for you to consider purchasing this book. It's good and an excellent choice as we can see the New Year, 2016, just around the corner.
Join me as we seek to set the stage for a great New Year, not with resolutions that you will forget in a short time, but with guidelines and suggestions designed to positively cange how you look at life and the results you will experience in 2016.

I'll be discussing the fading playoff prospects of the Pittsburgh Steelers with Dani Bostick, writer for SB Nation's Steelers community "Behind the Steel Curtain". Among the topics to be discussed:
Why can't the Steelers beat the Ravens?
Who is to blame for the loss to Baltimore: the coaches or the players?
Will there be major changes if Pittsburgh does not make the playoffs?
Will the defense FINALLY be fixed in the offseason (draft or free agency)?
The Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals have clinched a playoff berth. There will be no resting players due to the importance of this game. With a win, the Arizona Cardinals would clinch the second seed and a first round bye. A Packers win would keep their hopes of a first round bye alive. Should this happen, they would need to defeat the Minnesota Vikings and hope the Seattle Seahawks can defeat the Cardinals, in week 17.
The Packers and Cardinals both have veteran quarterbacks, but it has been the defensive units that have helped these teams win double digit games. Both teams rank in the top seven in points allowed. The Packers 18.9 points allowed per game ranks fifth, while the Cardinals rank seventh at 19.2. There are some glaring differences between the units. The cardinals are a stingy defense that thrives on capitalizing on opposing quarterback mistakes. They rank seventh in yards allowed and have 18 interceptions and have returned four of them for touchdowns. The Packers have allowed teams to move the ball, but they can apply pressure to opposing quarterbacks. Although they give up yards, they have done a good job forcing teams to settle for field goals.
No wide receiver has filled the shoes of Jordy Nelson, and the Packers offense has struggled most of the season. The Packers have scored 24.8 points per game, compared to 31.8 for the Arizona Cardinals. Green Bay will need to figure out how to extend drives if they want to leave the desert with a win. The Packers only convert 36% of their third down opportunities, whereas the Cardinals convert at a league leading 47%. Whichever team can extend drives and win the turnover battle should bome away with the victory. Listen in and call the show with your thoughts.
Another demoralising loss to Arsenal last week means Aston Villa are still at the basement of the Premier League, and time is starting to run out. But, the toughest part of the schedule is past us and a busy holiday period of fixtures offers a chance for Villa to start to climb. This week, James joins Jack to talk about the matches, as well as a few transfer rumours and of couse the hilarious quesitons posed by our readers and listeners via Twitter.
Join Jeff Hartman and Chris Carter of Behind the Steel Curtain to discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers' 20-17 Week 16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Listen live here on BlogTalkRadio, but be sure to call in to make your voice heard. Dial (347) 850-8581 to make the discussion a conversation.
The Arizona Cardinals have won nine straight ballgames after a 38-8 beatdown they put on the Green Bay Packers, sacking Green Bay quarterbacks nine times and scoring two defensive touchdowns. Now they are 13-2, they are NFC West champs and have locked up a playoff bye and already have their best regular season ever.
Hosts Jess Root and Seth Cox look back at the last two wins over the Eagles and Packers, in which they won by a combined score of 78-25. What stood out? They talk about the play of David Johnson and Michael Floyd, the loss of Tyrann Mathieu and how it will not crush the team, as well as the pass rush showing up.
More importantly, they discuss the rest or no rest issue for the Cardinals heaidng into their final week facing the Seattle Seahawks at home.
Looking ahead, what is the minimum expectation for the Cardinals? What will make the season a success? The hosts say if they don't at least make it to the Super Bowl, the season is incomplete and unfulfilled.
