Once again, the fun has been sucked from sports. The NFL new season is under way and the games seem meaningless. In a twist of epic asinine proportions, new revelations in the Ray Rice domestic violence scandal have surfaced.
Mike "the Buzz-saw" Asti and George "the Howitzer" Gerbo usually appreciate the off the field asinine topics. This is just too much.
Ray Rice went from sitting out only two games to being released by the Baltimore Ravens and suspended indefinitely by the NFL, all thanks to TMZ. Outlets like TMZ and Deadspin have been proved to rule the world. If TMZ could obtain the video of Ray Rice knocking out his then fiance Janay Palmer, how are we supposed to believe the mighty National Football League could not? If TMZ never made this video public, would Ray Rice be starting in week three? Is Roger Goodell lying about having not seen the video months ago? How could the NFL and the Ravens have handled this whole situation better? Mike rants that Roger Goodell is either a negligent moron or a scum liar. Which do you believe....? While George can't imagine someone would be so evil and careless, he's leaning towards joining Mike's world of Hell, fire, and brimstone.
Oh yeah, the NFL season has kicked off. We adavnce towards week two in the annual HBS NFL Pick'em Challenge. Can anything be made of all the upsets? Are perennial contenders, New England, Green Bay, and New Orleans already in must wins?
Shockingly baseball is bringing a sense of normalcy. There's just a few weeks left of the season, but the pennant race is far from over. Who will claim the final NL and AL Wild Card spots? Are the Royals going to hang around and steal a division title from Detroit? Have the Pirates managed to crawl into the playoffs? Did Adam Dunn curse the A's?
The Howitzer and Buzz-saw conquer sports radio, one day, at a time....
On tonight's show host Pamela Marie Edmunds will be interviewing Author Hilary Jamron. They will be discussing Hilary's book "Surrealistic Trials; Surving Life After Death." What happened to HIlary? What did she learn? What can we learn from her experience?
More About Hilary Jamron;
Hilary Jamron “died” from a drug overdose at the age of eighteen and journeyed to the so-called Other Side. Defying all odds, a grim prognosis, and a lengthy coma, she managed not only to survive but also to maintain conscious contact with both her higher self and her guardian angel. Despite having sustained a permanent brain injury, she graduated college with a B.S. in community social psychology at Johnston Center for Integrative Studies, one of the University of Redlands' Centers of Distinction. After that, she established a successful career in the mental health field, working in substance abuse, dual diagnosis, and—for the past twenty years—with schizophrenics.
Her writing has been published in both national and international educational and professional publications through the University of Washington, the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Public Health Agency of Canada. The impact of her hepatitis C exacerbated Hilary’s brain damage and ultimately forced her to give up her career. Her health issues progressed and now limit her physical mobility as well as cognitive functioning, yet she teaches by example that we must never give up.
There was no social media 40 years ago.How would have Facebook,Twitter,and Fox News effected the outcome?
The disgraced former president Nixon made a plan. This secret plan, codenamed Wizard, was one to regain respectability. He would show ’em again. What would have crushed most people to Richard Nixon was another crisis to be overcome. the Atlantic

The Justice Department will open a civil rights investigation into policing practices in Ferguson, Mo., Attorney General Eric Holder announced Thursday. The move marks the Obama Administration’s most forceful step to address racial strife in the mostly African-American St. Louis suburb, where a police officer shot and killed an unarmed black teen on Aug. 9.
Ferguson activists and community leaders say they are welcoming the investigation, saying the practice of racial profiling by police was widespread in the community long before department veteran Darren Wilson shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown. The incident sparked days of protests and a heavy police crackdown.
But should DOJ have stepped in? We discuss it..

Join your host Alex Matsuo as she talks to Cassidy Rae, Rhonda Bingham, and Jason Wilkerson about raising a family and going through life with a psychically gifted teenager.
Cassidy Rae is only 15, but is handling her gift of being able to communicate with spirits like a pro. She realized she had this gift at the age of 13, on Halloween weekend, while attending her first paranormal investigation in Narrows, VA, at the MacArthur Inn. The Inn is an established landmark in this tiny town, having been a hospital, a nursing home, a bed and breakfast, back and forth since the early 1900s. It is now a bed and breakfast, and the owner has most of the history since it was built. During this investigation, which was for fun and lead by a group that she had been friends with for years, Cassidy began seeing and hearing things that weren’t there. She described a man that no one else could see, and when the owner began to go through pictures of former residents, she pointed out the exact man she was seeing. Records proved he had died in the exact room Cassidy was seeing him in. The way she described him to other investigators, including his clothing, was exactly what he was wearing in the picture. The picture had been taken shortly before his death.
