Investigation Discovery lifts the veil between the living and the dead with new one-hour crime special RESTLESS SOULS, premiering Monday, April 14 at 9/8c.
The program examines the 2004 murder mystery of Ashley Howley and how a complete stranger, psychic medium Kristy Robinett, helped solve the case and bring closure to Howley’s traumatized family.
Interviews with Robinett, law enforcement, and loved ones illustrate the three-year police investigation, alongside Robinett’s independent search for answers using the victim’s own ghostly clues as her guide.
After calling the police to report a break in at her Columbus, OH, apartment, 20-year-old Ashley Howley went missing. Her car was discovered abandoned in a parking lot nearby, but the case went cold for more than a year.
Then one night not far from Howley’s family home in Michigan, Kristy Robinett was awakened by the ghost of a young woman who called herself Ashley and claimed to have been murdered. For months, Howley’s spirit revisited Robinett to offer more clues about her body’s location. Robinett's three-year journey ended with a shocking discovery with profound implications regarding life after death.
Kristy Robinett is a psychic medium and author who began seeing spirits at the age of three. When she was eight, the spirit of her deceased grandfather helped her escape from a would-be kidnapper, and it was then that Robinett realized the Other Side wasn’t so far away. As an adult, she is often called upon by law enforcement to examine cold cases in a new light and from a different angle.
Host Cyrus Webb welcomes author Hilary Neiman to Conversations LIVE to discuss her journey in life that led her to write the book THINGS FALL APART.

This week I have Democratic Strategist Basil Smikle on my show. Basil and I are going to discuss the Chris Christie Self investigation, the latest on Russia and Ukraine, and the tweet from the Colbert show twitter account that caused a huge amount of controversy.
If we have time I will discuss some of the other big topics of the week.
At the end we will have our trademark weekly hall of fame and shame for those politicians and prominent individuals who made great sense or shameful nonsense, respectively.
Brian is the Tech Specialist, responsible for the implementation and use of all the gadgets and gear. Best known for mixing old and new techniques of investigating, he often finds himself doing the physical tasks, such as crawling under houses and up into attics. He also serves as second in command of the team and helps manage the deployment of the crew itself. Ultimately, his goal as an investigator is to measure, quantify and get empirical evidence to support the claims of paranormal activity reported while maintaining his skeptical edge.
He first recognized his desire to explore the unknown at a young age. Growing up in Staten Island, New York, Brian often took note of abandoned buildings recessed within the woods near his home during Sunday drives with his parents. They called to him, sparking his imagination and his curiosity. Alone or with friends, Brian began exploring the old and abandoned buildings, despite the countless rumors of what may have happened within their walls. Tall tales of Satanic activity, missing children or ghostly sightings were often told, but instead of deterring Brian from his new found hobby, this element of fear and danger only served to add to the allure for him. Since then, he's been looking into the darkness and exploring the dangers that come with the decay of civilization's footprint. Expanding his experiences in urban exploration to include paranormal investigation, there are few places he will not go.
When not crawling in the dark, Brian is a video editor and produces an independent series of paranormal documentaries, entitled, SCARED! Brian's work has been praised in several publications, including TAPS Paramagazine and Haunted Times Magazine. Various episodes of SCARED! have won awards at several film festivals
Super stoked to interview a prolific and inspiring writer C. Hope Clark who I've admired for years. During our time together, I'll be interviewing her about The Carolina Slade Mystery Series and most recently, Palmetto Poison, the third book to the series, which was just released in February 2014
Here's a bit about C. Hope Clark. I hope you can join us for what will be an informative and interesting interview.
C. Hope Clark was born and reared in the South, from Mississippi to South Carolina with a few stints in Alabama and Georgia. The granddaughter of a Mississippi cotton farmer, Hope holds a B.S. in Agriculture with honors from Clemson University and 25 years’ experience with the U. S. Department of Agriculture to include awards for her management, all of which enable her to talk the talk of Carolina Slade, the protagonist in most of her novels. Her love of writing, however, carried her up the ranks to the ability to retire young, and she left USDA to pen her stories and freelance.
Hope is married to a 30-year veteran of federal law enforcement, a Senior Special Agent, now a contract investigator. They met on a bribery investigation within the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the basis for the opening scene to Lowcountry Bribe. Hope and her special agent live on the rural banks of Lake Murray outside of Chapin, South Carolina, forever spinning tales on their back porch, bourbon and coke in hand.
She also currently manages FundsforWriters.com, a weekly newsletter service she founded that reaches 45,000+ writers to include university professors, professional journalists and published mystery authors. Writer’s Digest has recognized the site in its annual 101 Best Web Sites for Writers for thirteen years.
