Independent Everything: LIVE with R&B/Rap Sensation ~ JC DaSINsation

    in Music

Jeremy Jones, also known as JC DaSINsation was born with promise. Although he was plagued by typical adversity endured by many bi-products of ‘single parent’ households, he faced the odds, confronted the odds, and eventually triumphed over the odds. One of two children born into chaos and less fortunate, poverty stricken circumstances he was submerged into a life of adversity and hardship. Often, he and his older sister were left unattended for days at a time, lacking the essential elements of survival and nourishment. Although his roots are traced back to Petersburg, Virginia where his mother pushed him into this world on the living room of his aunt’s home; shortly thereafter, they relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to reside with his maternal grandparents. In 1986, a year after arriving, his mother was found deceased in the West End district from an apparent drug overdose. With losing his mother to death and his father serving consecutive life sentences, he was left to discover his own identity and sift through life’s tumultuous journey on a quest for self-discovery. Along the way he encountered the good, the bad, and the very ugly aspects of growing up without a mother, a father or an encouraging family structure. During this time the only viable outlet he had was music. Gangster Rap along with Rhythm and Blues(R&B) were his surrogate parents. From NWA to Anita Baker, he absorbed both ends of the spectrum. While being an avid fan of the culture practically his entire life, only in recent years has he began to pursue his passion for music and its creative process. Continuing to perfect and hone his craft, he also has thespian ambitions. Determined to become an admirable human being he remains humbled with humility. Seeking to enlighten, educate and entertain, Jc DaSINsation maintains a full load juggling music, acting, family as well as ensuring a stable environment is kept.

Independent Everything: LIVE with Rap/R&B/Hip-Hop Duo ~ 2J

    in Music

2J is an American Rap, R&B, and Hip-hop group from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. It consists of Jerry Williams and Julius McCullum, which is how the name 2J came about. The group was formed in 2014, when the idea of doing a positive rap song came about. Living in a world filled with violence, and things of that nature, a positive song seemed like the best option. Julius got into music at a young age, when he was around 8 or 9 years old. He used to listen to different types of music like rock, rap, and even country music. He enjoyed different types of music, which inspired him as he got older and started writing music himself, mainly rock, country, and then later rap. That's when he got in touch with his friend Jerry and they started laying tracks together. Growing up in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, music hasn't been the easiest thing to do for a young black man. Coming from a small town called Columbia, Mississippi, Jerry Williams had been doing music for as long as he could remember. He got into Gospel Rap when he was 15 years old. From there he continued to do Gospel rap for 5 years, with his singer Kayla Brown. It was the perfect match between the two, so they called themselves Voices of Praise. Even though they never released any music commercially, they still have a fan base of 10k and more. After that, Jerry moved on to just recording individual and making beats.

Fast forward to 2014 when 2J was formed. The first song they did together was called "Trouble Risen."  Looking at the local situation and looking at the world view point, led to the idea to do "Whats Wrong with the World."  The song is meant to build individuals up. A positive rap song, meant to reach everyone, from young to old.  With God helping them every step of the way, they are hoping to be a success and help to bless others on the way with this journey.

Live music: Midnight Lover slow R&B,lovers rock 60s 70s 80s reggae just for you

Live music: Midnight Lover slow R&B,lovers rock 60s 70s 80s reggae just for you

Motown Love Songs: Motown Milestones emphasizes the label's romantic ballads and slow jams, and while tracks like the Miracles' "Ooo Baby Baby," the Jackson 5's "I'll Be There" and the Temptations' "Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me)" are all undisputed classics, over the course of its 18 cuts the collection grows thin, with too many of the songs subscribing to the same sonic formula (gossamer harmonies, lush strings and glacial rhythms). The track selection is also more than a little suspect -- any collection of Motown love songs on which the contributions of Michael Jacksonoutnumber those of Marvin Gaye by a two-to-one ratio really needs to go back to the drawing board.
