    Hey Black Child...

    in Family

In light of the chaos and tradegy that has happened in Baltimore, we (parents) must understand that we also played a part in this. So instead of going into a long sermon about what's wrong let's start OUR begining today. Read this poem or let your child listen to it as I read it. This poem was written by Langston Hughes.

Dadio's Lunch Bucket Radio Clinic #79 - a "Hey Ya' Big Jerk Productions" gig

    in Current Events

    DADIO'S LUNCH BUCKET RADIO CLINIC: Show 79 - Tuesday, 28 April 2015, 3:00 p.m.

Live again this week..., our 79th show over all on Janesville Community Radio ..., and ...., our 16th show from The Radio Clinic Lab at Cool Dadio Media Studio 54 1/2 in downtown Janesville, Wisconsin..., or at least what's left of it and the Dadio.

If you are a Janesville Community Radio Pod Caster, or, a pal of Dadio's Lunch Bucket Radio Clinic, don't forget Pre-show Jazz Jams starts at 2:00 p.m.

Also, find us on Internet TV.  http://www.ustream.tv/channel/dadio-s-lunch-bucket-radio-clinic

Dadio's Lunch Bucket has a little bit of everything. Live from the MY OFFICE JVL building, and sometimes on the road at local taverns and coffee shops, the Radio Clinic risks the perils of ad hoc radio. There is a working class blue-collar theme with local and regional interests that weave through the show. Some college degrees are mixed in. And, all along the way they try to give a voice to those ignored by the status quo.  Somehow, they entertain us all in the process.

Segments include but are not limited to:  Word Phrase; Fish Fry; Quiz; Blue-Collar Jobs; Wisconsin War Casualties; News and Comment; and..., Burgers.

You need to ask Dadio and his crew some questions..., the man comes with his own support group that is prepared and ready to pull him out of the holes he invariably digs himself into!

Call the show, play the quiz, win, make Dadio buy you a beverage at a local watering hole!

Hey Sis, I Need a Word! A Jury of Your Peers.

    in The Bible

In this episode of Hey Sis, we are looking at people as judges. As we look more at the Bible we will understand throughout history, people we feel are our peers often times do not have our best interest in mind. Yet, if we trust God intutively and spend more time worshiping him regardless, we leave the stage of theatrics and enter the real sphere of his prescence, and with that anything is possible. Tune in to this episode and grab your Bible.

Hey baby, what’s your sign? Many of us have heard this tired old pick-up line, but who stops to really consider what our Astrological sign really says about us, or can predict for us? Enter Pamela Bacher, a professional astrologer of 30 years. She knows how to read the stars to provide insight on finances, career, love, health and more.

Astrology speaks to the effects that distant cosmic objects have on our lives. It is based on the belief that the position of the stars, sun, moon, and planets at the time of your birth changes your personality and affects your life. Pamela will join us as guest to give you Answers from Astrology, running your natal chart, with some of her intuitive skills mixed in. Whether you’re Aries or Libra, Taurus or Scorpio, you will learn what’s in the stars for you.

Sacred Sunday~I Corinthians/Snap Out of It!

    in Spirituality

Welcome everyone! Today we are reading I Corinthians!

Paul's letter starts with some basic introductions. Hey! Paul here. What up, Romans? As it turns out, Paul's never been to Rome, but he wants to go. Really, really badly. He's sending this letter ahead of him as a way of introducing himself… and of sharing lots (and we mean lots) of theological goodies. Paul's big concern is Jesus. He died so we could live the good life with God. All we have to do is believe in him and all our dreams will come true. It's only been twenty years since Jesus died, and not everyone is faithing it up quite yet. Come on, guys. Get with the program. Paul is especially worried about the Jewish people. See, Paul's a Jew himself, and he believes that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah and the continuation of all Jewish life and thought. But not every single Jew accepts this. Paul spends this entire letter struggling with the idea that non-believing Jews can't possibly be on God's good side. But he also can't quite shake the feeling that since they're God's chosen peeps, the Big Guy is gonna do something for them. Paul sure has his fingers crossed. There is a silver lining to all this non-believing, though. Because the Jewish people aren't all cool with Jesus, God has moved onto recruiting the Gentiles. Paul's kind of like the apostle to the Gentiles, so he's pretty psyched about this.  The Gentile-Christians in Rome can be a little, well, full of themselves sometimes. They don't like the Jewish-Christians because they think that God rejected the Jews and Jewish law. No way! Paul tells them. He wants every Christian, regardless of their background, living in peace and harmony. Come on, guys. Can't we all just get along? And, as always, he gives full credit for every good thing to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Peace. Paul, out. Thank you www.shmoop.co
