California's ballot proposition process was meant to give the people more of a say in legislation, but the process has become entirely corrupted by money and special interests. Proposition language makes the proposals sound like good ideas, but like the legendary Trojan Horse, buried within the legalese are often provisions that have entirely different consequences. And lately, when a bad idea proposition is enacted in one state, thanks to organizations like ALEC, they tend to pop up on ballots all over the country.
Proposition 46 is billed as a patient safety act, by requiring physicians to undergo drug and alcohol testing. But there's more to it than that.

As we get closer to the 2014 NFL Draft, one name you should expect to see climb up draft boards is Brenden Daley from the University of Hawaii. With a size (6’3/255) and speed (4.6-range) combination that has already drawn interest from NFL scouts for the Packers, Giants and Cowboys, the Rainbow Warrior pass-rusher can fit a 4-3 or 3-4 scheme. The Rainbow Warrior joins host Ric Serritella in this edition of the All Access Football podcast.
WHAT IS ACCESS?
DO YOU HAVE ACCESS?
WHO CONTROLS YOUR ACCESS?
DO WE HAVE ACCESS TO WEALTH?
DO WE HAVE ACCESS TO HEALTH?
DO WE HAVE ACCESS TO WISDOM OR GNOSIS?
Is there, then, no access to God for us fallen creatures?
Access to God is possible—possible for the chief of sinners—but only via the appointed Mediator. As the Lord Jesus so emphatically declared, "No man comes unto the Father—but by Me" (John 14:6). It is through the Lord Jesus Christ, and by Him alone—not through priest or pope, Mary or the angels, good works or tears—that we may obtain access to God. "We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access" (Romans 5:1, 2).
In pointing this out, we are covering ground which is thoroughly familiar to all our readers, truth which is still proclaimed in many places. Yet it is by no means the whole of the truth on this subject, though it is all that is presented thereon in certain quarters. It is those neglected aspects which we now desire to particularly stress.
U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa and U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz square off this year to fill the last two years of the six-year term of powerful political icon Daniel K. Inouye, who died in 2012.
Both are popular Democrats who have enjoyed the support of many of the same voters in the past. Most of the polls published this year describe this race as too close to call in the Aug. 9 primary election Honolulu Magazine
U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa holds an edge over U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz in the Democratic primary for Senate, a new Hawaii Poll shows, and voters who prefer the congresswoman cite her legislative experience as the main reason.

In this episode, Dru discusses the use and misuse of the ballot box in America. The ballot box is a necessary part of the system to ensure the freedom of Americans. But, the question becomes, since Americans can actually vote out their own freedom, is the ballot box serving our needs properly? Issues regarding the abuse of the ballot box are raised as well. The Constitutional authority given to the People and the limitations put on Congress by the Constitution serve as a great protection from Administrative, Judicial and Congressional abuse maximizing the effectiveness of the process. However it takes the People to actually participate in the process to make it work.
Peter Greenberg ventures to the North Shore of the island of Oahu in Hawaii to the Turtle Bay Resort. There he explores the movement to maintain and preserve Hawaiian culture. We also learn about the mythology—and the cutting edge reality—of the big waves on the North Shore, told by some of legendary surfers like Tom Pohaku Stone and Marty Thomas. Plus, just for good measure, we talk to Danna Holck, the first female Hawaiian native general manager of a hotel. She talks about the importance of keeping Turtle Bay Resort's vaules aligned with traditional Hawaiian values.
We are a Republic, no matter how the Establishment Progressives try to tell you differently. Why are the voters voting for so many ballot issues? Is that a good thing? MO State Rep Paul Curtman will be my guest in the 8am hour!

She wants only to be known as "Dr. R." for the purpose of this interview. She is (what she calls) an "academic missionary" in a restricted-access country, a country that restricts gospel missionaries from the United States. She holds two Ph.Ds and a Masters and is a full professor of philosophy and humanities. She might've had an easy and lucrative career if all she wanted to do in life was teach. But she didn't. She wanted to proclaim the gospel and the doctrines of God in a high academic environment. Her kind of evangelism is rare, but just as needed. This Thursday we hear her story in a rare interview, on "Jewish Roots", an Internet radio pod-cast, each Thursday at 9:30 pm EDT at www.blogtalkradio.com/fougcrew. To call with a question or comment: 347-324-5759.
