He is a contributing author of ISO 11607-1, author of the initial draft of ISO 11607-2, and is past co-chair of the US sub-TAG to ISO/TC 198/Working Group 7 on Packaging. Hal is Immediate Past Chairman of ASTM F02 Committee on Flexible Barrier Packaging and has been Past Chairman of ASTM F02.60, Medical Device Packaging Subcommittee.
