On our next edition of America's Community Voices Network, we examine gun violence in at risk communities in the City of Tampa that has reached epidemic preportions. On Saturday, April 18, 2015, 12 noon sharp at the Abundant Life Church Parking Lot, 8117 N 13th Street, Sulphur Springs a Community March will occur to raise awareness about the increased gun violence in the Springs threatening the safety and health of children, families and neighborhoods. Our guest is a representative of the Tampa Police Department, Lt. Randy Peters. This event will also provide information about positive resources available to the community. Rally! Eat! Drink! Support.
As the rate of firearm ownership rises in the USA so does the rate of gun related injury and death. That simple fact is enough to send the firearm industry into a PR frenzy to pump out false information intended to mislead and frighten the American people. The right to keep and bear arms is not under threat when common sense safety measures are proposed by our elected leaders but the tactics employed by those who make a huge profit from gun sales have fueled a culture of firearm obsession and fetishism. The higher the number of gun related injuries and deaths, the more resistance we see in putting safety policies in place and the bigger the bump we see in sales, largely by firearm enthusiasts and "patriot militia" or anti-government groups. It is time we ask ourselves, "Has our country become gun crazy?"
Tonight at 10 pm EST we'll talk about the Tampa, FL area, and how it's okay to leave your gun in a toddlers reach, and have that toddler kill themselves, as long as you are white. Yet if the same thing happens and you are black, you get arrested.
Plus, whatever else is on your mind, we'll discuss it !!!
Gun Owners of America spearheaded a coalition of almost 30 groups this week and sent a letter to U.S. Senators opposing the confirmation of Loretta Lynch to be Attorney General of the United States.
While GOA has been busy coalescing grassroots opposition against the anti-gun nominee, the battle is far from over.
The vote on her nomination could occur as early as next week. And right now, the Republican Senate holds “all the cards” in the fight to stop her nomination. If they hold together, her nomination will be defeated.
And, well it should be. Lynch has said under oath that she effectively intends to spit on the Constitution -- and continue to implement Obama’s unconstitutional, unlawful and anti-gun executive actions.
Next to Obama himself, Loretta Lynch will be the most important “Lynch-pin” in the administration's efforts to permanently obliterate the Constitution. Without the active support of the Attorney General -- who, traditionally, has been the servant of the law, and not the lawless president -- Obama's fraud scheme collapses.
Joining me this morning is Larry Pratt, Executive Director of Gun Owners of America for over 30 years. GOA is a national membership organization of 300,000 Americans dedicated to promoting their Second Amendment freedom to keep and bear arms.
During the first hour, we will be joined by Mike Hammond, legislative
council to Gun Owners of America, who will brief us on the lawsuilt being
filed against Wal-Mart by investors and shareholders concerning the sale
of cerain kidns of firearms.
During the second hour, Dr. George Delgado, pro-life family physican from
San Diego, will tell us about his abortion-reversal procedure, which is
currently being used by doctors nationwide to reverse the effects of

Many professional drivers have goals of purchasing a truck and operating their own business as an owner operator. Often, lack of financial resources or credit availability prevent many from moving forward. Regardless of these challenges, drivers will search for other means to obtain the finances needed in order to achieve their goals, some making decisions which will later prove to be detrimental to their careers.
Joe Hoovestol is the General Manager of Lone Mountain Truck Leasing and joins us as our guest to discuss the various choices available (good and bad) for those considering becoming an owner operator. Mr. Hoovestol will explain those variables which can determine if a driver is an eligible candidate to be a successful owner operator. We will also expand on those signs a driver needs to be aware of in order to spot a predatory lender, as well as vital information to understand before signing documents for truck leases, financial loans or purchases .
