Remember when you would talk about a movie back in the '80s and nobody had heard of it? COMEDIAN GREG REIFSTECK goes back to remember these CULT MOVIES that only a handful of your friends had seen and cherished, but the mainstream somehow never embraced. His guest this week is steampunk author WENDY L. CALLAHAN (wendylcallahan.com) who is also a movie geek. They will each throw down with their TOP 10 films that eventually gained notoriety thanks to home video and the internet, but back in the day were merely a blip on the box office radar. Films include THE PIRATE MOVIE, STREETS OF FIRE, TIME BANDITS, NIGHT OF THE COMET, BUCKAROO BANZAI, MY CHAUFFER and many more
Guiltless Cult is the brainchild of Tennessee-via-New York songwriter Terry McClain.
The music is a fusion of ‘90s alternative, ‘70s hard rock and ‘80s melodic punk—upbeat, sometimes very heavy, and catchy as hell. Think Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz, Frank Black, Bad Brains, Nirvana. Think good stuff.
Help Me Out, the debut release from Guiltless Cult, was made in the Spring of 2006 and voted one of the best local cd's of that year (Greg Haymes, Times Union). Now with the follow up album "Welcome to the," (July 2010) the band is just getting its kicks and rocking with the spirit of psychedelia and punk. The ending features a special guest (Albie of The Black Fuel), ending with an ode to the music that started all of rock-n-roll...the blues.
Terry McClain: Guitar, vocals, bass, keys

Cults are making major news headlines. Some accused of cult-status are truly cultish and others are not. But the flood of cult activity should urge you to sharpen your cult identifications skills. Most Christian cult followers had no idea what they were getting into until they were already brainwashed adherents to the warped religions. Would you recognize a Christian cult if you were in its midst? Would you know you’d entered into a cult before you were effectively brainwashed? How can you discern a Christian cult?
A cult as, “a group that deviates from the doctrines and practices of historic Christianity and has an inordinate loyalty to one leader, whose beliefs are not found in Scripture (as affirmed by historic Christianity). Cult leaders, or false teachers, often believe that they alone possess the truth. If a group displays even one of these seven characteristics, they are a cult or have cultish tendencies.”

A Warning ABout the New Heresy Called anti-Lordship.
This confused teaching tells Christians that "repenting" and
"Making Jesus our Lord" is an illusion. Repenting is a
powerless work of the flesh . Just believe. Change your mind.
And don't let your human emotions get into it in anyway.
We are looking forward to interviewing Ronnie from Cult Cigars on June 18th. Cult is one of the hotter new brands on the market and we are looking forward to hear more about this brand, its success and what makes it such a big hit.
Dr. Walter Martin, the Original Bible Answer Man, takes a close look at the power of positive thinking. If we say positive things, will only good come to us? Are we in danger if we say negative things? What do we do when leaders in the church choose a path that "overturns the faith of some?" 1 Thess 5:21 tells us to put everything to the test, and that is exactly what Walter Martin does tonight, on Night Watch.
When you hear the word cult, what comes to mind? Almost always it's something negative or something associated with weird, manipulative practices and behavior. Some people associate orgaznized religion with being in a cult. Others think it's a man made organization linked with sadistic, satanic worship or practices. Whatever the case, it's clear that cults are viewed in a negative light. What happens when you are apart of one? What happens when you discover that things aren't what they seem? What happens when you find yourself apart of immoral practices or perverse behavior while being in a cult? Have you thought that because of certain practices that you may also be in a cult? Listen in as I talk to one man who found himself caught up in an African Spiritual Cult for 7 years! The struggles he faced and what made him finally decide to break free from the cult. Phone lines will be open for questions and comments at 347-855-8637. Show starts at 7PM EST. Don't be late!
On Thursday August 21st, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. Pacific time the Hermetic
Hour with host Poke Runyon will present a discussion on the historical
development of "cultism" in esoteric societies, staring with Baron von Hund's Masonic Strict Observance in the mid 1700s, which in turn influenced Wisehaupt's Illuminati, Blavatsky's Theosophy and even The Golden Dawn with their "Secret Chiefs" and more modern groups we will tactfully leave unmentioned. This is an important issue because the paradigm that began with Strict Observance and was adapted by Blavatsky has since been applied to any esoteric group that has an initiatory structure. So if you want to find out what was and what is behind esoteric cultism, tune in and we will lift the veil.
Nick from Circus Maximus fills in for Paul Hickman and invites his friend Ivana who is Serbian and has been residing in Chicago most of her life. We will discuss her knowledge of Reiki and her website: http://ivsreiki.com/ & much more!
