From Palm Coast Florida. Born and raised in Florida
Started playing tennis a the young age of 3 years old.
Played competitively in FL as a Jr. player all the way through to the 18's.
Graduated High School in 2005 where I earned 10 varsity Letters in Golf, Soccer and Tennis.
Went on to play collegiate tennis at Florida Southern College under Scott Linn and Trey Heath.
Our team was always ranked around 8-12 in the nation in DII. I mainly competed in doubles for the Mocs.
Graduated in 2009 with a degree in physical education.
I've been teaching since I was in high school helping out running tennis camps in the summer months. In college started teaching more and more. Started under Harry Gilbert who was the Director of Tennis at Hammock Beach Resort. Continued to teach there after I finished college for an additional year. In 2010 I got a job at the New Canaan Field Club under Master Professional and my current boss Len Simard. I worked there for 2 summers and in-between I worked at the Health and Tennis at Ocean Reef in Key Largo under WIllie Cakans. After my second summer in New Canaan I was offered a full time position at Isleworth Golf and Country Club in Windermere Floirda. I am currently working at Isleworth still under Len Simard and this September I will be starting my 5th year at Isleworth.
My true hobby is Surfing and really enjoy all aspects about it. I also have gotten into Triathlon within the past 4 years. I also enjoy all water sports anything that deals with it I'm there.

From Gangs, to Prison, to Living Out Loud!
Greg Commander is an entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker. After spending 18 years in prison, he developed a better appreciation for life. He decided to use his knowledge and life experiences to encourage and motivate at-risk youth. His speaking style is direct and effective. He is a philosopher with a commanding presence and powerful voice that he uses to teach and uplift youth. His efforts are to prevent them from following the same path to destruction he once followed. "Changing Lives, One Mind at a Time", he reaches the youth by shedding light on the streets in a unique way. Considering himself a brother figure he gives back to the youth what he wishes someone would have given him ... knowledge. Greg Commander is available for various organizations, situations, and/or challenges.
Supporting community outreach efforts, he has been featured on radio stations 90.1 FM (Busta Brown), 97.1 FM (Renee Vaughn) and Channel 2. At various Guilford County Schools, Youth Detention Centers, Churches and other Youth Organizations throughout North Carolina, and Chicago, Illinois, Greg has conversed with youth regarding the importance of education, gang prevention and the perils of "street life". Mr. Commander recently graduated from Laurel University, High Point, N.C. with a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling.
