Running a government, whether it is a city, state, or country, is like running a household. You look at what your operating costs are, look at your total household income, and decide how to spend the money you make to pay bills and make sure everyone is fed, clothed, kept warm and safe, and educated. That's what good parents do to take care of the children whose lives are in their hands. The problem with some elected officials is that they are not being good "parents" of the "children" they are supposed to take care of, namely, the voters who are entrusting them with decisions that affect people's lives. Schools in Illinois are being threatened with closure because Governor Bruce Rauner, elected by a small percentage of votes, has held up the release of funds for education, refusing to sign legislation presented by the Illinois General Assembly. Students have united to fight for their right to receive education and are mounting a massive voter registration drive, as well as mass demonstrations and lobbying elected officials to push the Governor to act. If not, what next? Students have already shown how economic boycotts and refusal of sports teams to play can have an impact. Today's guests, student leaders Darren Martin from Chicago State University and Nicolas Martinez from Northeastern Illinois University discuss the power of a new, politically involved, educated generation.
PLEASE ,,, Join Eva and Michael Conoley as they welcome back to OUReality, Governor, Nickolas Wildstar! We will be discussing the progress of the Peoples Party Coalition, HIGHLIGHTS from our first Pot Luck / Workshop 1/16/2016. It ALL starts with an idea! To Govern over One's Self. How to reclaim OUR Unalienable Rights! These Unalienable Rights are declared to be rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Our GOD Given Rights, not to be taken away by man!
Hey Family, Join us at a special time tomorrow for an amazing show! We'll discuss the Iowa Caucus results as well the latest Democratic Debate. Joining us for that segment will be none other than Democratic Strategist Jamal Simmons. We'll also discuss the latest with Chicago Public Schools and Governor Rauner and the Congressional hearing on the Flint Water Crisis. Lastly, we'll discuss the tragic death of Gynnya McMillen, the latest black body to die in police custody.
This show will examine whether Flint's water supply was intentionally poisoned as an act of genocide as Councilman Wantwaz Davis and film maker Michael Moore have both stated.
Back in December, before the crisis became a national news story, Moore tweeted:
This is a racial killing, Flint is 60% African American. When you knowingly poison a Black city, you are committing a version of genocide. If this were elsewhere, and the white leader blocked a Black city's clean water supply and made them drink poison, we'd call it ethnic cleansing.
Today's episode will be discussion of Texas Governor Greg Abbott's "Texas Plan", and specifically the first section of the plan dealing with The Congress of the United States.
We'll have a news segment, to track all of the Convention of States activity occurring around the nation. Then we'll present the first section of Texas Governor Greg Abbott's "Texas Plan" and his proposed solutions to an overreaching Congress. We'll leave some time for phone calls, for your questions and comments.
That Provident Article" is hosted by Convention of States Texas volunteer Paul Hodson, with the Convention of States since late 2013, a District Captain in Texas from February 2014 through November 2015, and now serving as Co-Director for the Convention of States Texas.

This is a sermon I shared on the importance of not thinking little of what you do for other people. Here is some of what I shared:
More than you Think
“Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little.” Edmund Burke
“I’ve seen and met angels wearing the disguise of ordinary people living ordinary lives.” Tracy Chapman
“I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catchers mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.” Maya Angelou
“The great use of life is to spend it for something that outlasts it.” William James
“It is the heart that does the giving; the fingers only let go.” Nigerian saying
There are some gifts that are given for one intent but received it with another intent. The wise men brought frankincense which was medicine but the Jewish people used it for religious ceremonies.
There is something else that jumps out at me while I re-read this story. The wise men offered their gifts with HUMILTY.
There is so much more that I shared...please tune in and share with your friends and family.

Donald Trump is magical. He really is. It is miraculous the way he is able to create an entirely new narrative. None of it is made up. Trump is taking things that actually happened and spinning it in his favor and is dominating the news cycle once again.
What Trump has done in this election is turn things upside down. I love when people on both sides of the aisle complain when he uses certain tactics to gain political leverage, because it’s not what they’re used to. They’re normally the ones who use these tactics, especially the GOP. Now that Trump is turning the tables on them, they don’t now what to do. They’re confused. Flummoxed. Verklempt.
It’s hysterical, because Karl Rove was the master of mudslinging and dirty politics. So was Roger Ailes and Mary Matalin. They were the kings of using tactics against their opponents that people called questionable. Whether it’s Willie Horton or John McCain being crazy from being imprisoned for five years in Hanoi, Republicans have unapologetically used every lowly trick in the book to gain a political advantage.
Now you have Donald Trump using Karl Rove and Roger Ailes’ tried and true methods and is going completely over the top with them. The GOP is losing their minds. When Trump attacks Ted Cruz, Mark Levin and Glenn Beck lose their minds. They don’t know what to do, because they’re used to being in the driver’s seat.
The notion that Ted Cruz is not part of the establishment is insane. Whether you are a senator or a governor, if you have worked within the political system, you are part of the establishment. Just because Cruz is a senator who calls other people liars and does a 10 hour filibuster whilst reading Green Eggs and Ham and everybody in Congress hates his guts because he is a loudmouth a**hole, that doesn’t mean he isn’t part of the establishment. He is a senator.
