The proposed rule, which is part of the Food Safety Modernization Act, would tighten regulations on pet food and animal feed "by requiring animal food facilities to take preventive steps to ensure that food for animals is safe," according to the FDA.
The controversy surrounds the rule's effect on the longtime practice of beer brewers giving their spent grain, the malted barley left over after the beer brewing process, to neighboring ranchers and dairy farmers. The practice serves two purposes: to help the brewers get rid of millions of tons of leftover product, and to provide a free, nutritious food source for animals at local farms.
Under the new regulation, the practice would be outlawed, unless breweries go through expensive and time-consuming measures to ensure the grain is up to regulation.
"The proposal is part of the Food Safety Modernization Act's larger effort to modernize the food safety system for the 21st century and focus public and private efforts on preventing food safety problems, rather than relying primarily on responding to problems after the fact," wrote the FDA in a press release.
In this episode, I discuss the fact that government in all its types and forms, is not necessary. A State is defined as a geographical area with set physical boundaries where a lot of people live. The power of a State is derived from the people. The authority of a State (authority meaning the way in which the power is controlled) does not have to be organized into a government, but can be organized into a self-sustained protectorate. The defining difference between a self-sustained protectorate and a government is the fact that a government utilizes a system of law that is changeable whereas an SSP utilizes a system of law that is unchangeable, unalterable, unamendable...it is permanent. Aruguments can be made for a system of changeable law being preferred over a system of unchangeable law, however arguments can also be made to show that changeable law enables and feeds corruption in all facets of society, and that when unchangeable law is devised, it need not be overly complex (think "keep it simple stupid") and open to every interpretation it presents. Thanks for listening, and since I do not subscribe to facebook or twitter, please tell your friends and family about my show. I'm working on getting a more consistent format with regular times and better sound quality. -Adam.

Veterans…vs…The Shameful Government of the United States
June 24, 2014 "U.S. Senator and doctor Tom Coburn, M.D. (R-OK), today released his new oversight report “Friendly Fire: Death, Delay, and Dismay at the VA.” The report is based on a year-long investigation of VA hospitals around the nation that chronicled the inappropriate conduct and incompetence within the VA that led to well-documented deaths and delays. The report also exposes the inept congressional and agency oversight that allowed rampant misconduct to grow unchecked." http://www.coburn.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/pressreleases?ContentRecord_id=2db6e061-d1c1-4440-a03e-2a30c051a68e

Treatment of the American Veteran vs. Treatment of ILLEGAL ALIENS
This Friday, most of us will be celebrating our independence and freedom. Not many remember that the spark which started the greatest experiment in history, was the Declaration of Independence, signed January 18, 1777. Does that Declaration still hold true today? Has there been a recurrence of similar "injuries and usurpations" by recent presidents? Congresses? The unlawfull actions of whom have been sworn to and upheld by their Courts?
In this episode we'll be comparing that famous declaration of 1777 with a lessor known declaration, but this one just might become as famous. The Declaration of Dissolution of Government by Gary Hunt, has been mentioned several times on another TVFMontana show, The Montana Republic that airs every Tuesday night. In case you missed the July 1 episode, you might want to check out the pod cast.
You can also view the Declaration of Independence, The U.S. Constitution as well as other interesting historical facts here The Citizens Rule Book.
So join us this Independence Day Eve. Lets talk freedom vs tyranny and shoot off some real fireworks.

Philosopher Dr. Diana Hsieh interviewed emergency medicine physician Dr. Doug McGuff about "Government Controls in Emergency Medicine" in this episode of Philosophy in Action Radio.
The practice of emergency medicine is heavily regulated by the government. What are some of those regulations? What are their effects? How do they make the practice of medicine more difficult? How would emergency medicine function in a truly free market?
Dr. Doug McGuff is an emergency medicine doctor practicing in South Carolina. He graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio in 1989, and then trained in Emergency Medicine at the University of Arkansas, where he served as Chief Resident. From there, Dr. McGuff served as Faculty in the Wright State University Emergency Medicine Residency and was a staff Emergency Physician at Wright-Patterson AFB Hospital. Today, Dr. McGuff is a partner with Blue Ridge Emergency Physicians.

Once upon a time the American dream was for whites only. Then after slavery was abolished and laws begin to be put in place where jobs for Negroes became reality, the American dream became all American. Well it appears that the American dream wasn't meant for all Americans, and by hook and crook, people in government with help of people operating corporations and ma an pa businesses, the American dream is too far from reality for far too many people. Corrupt politicians and corrupt CEOs joined forced in 1973 and created the American Legislative Exchange Council. This body of business owners and politicians wrote and passed laws that leaves groups of people out of luck when it comes to laws. This same group, ALEC are chipping away at laws for which battles have been fought and people have died. citizens have been brainwashed through media to believe the major troubles with America today is because of the president. The people blaming government are latching on to rhetoric and being repetitious without knowing facts, and frankly seemingly, without caring about facts.
The biggest problems facing Americans today are man made. The biggest reason these problems continue to exist is Americans will not register and vote. Every problem within our borders can be resolved with voters. Problems exist not because of government, but because of corrupt politicians. Austerity is a GOP practice. GOP Governors fire federal employees and tighten budgets causing layoffs across states. Congress blocks bills that are the difference between life and death: Veterans bills, medicaid expansion, jobs act bills, infrastructure, unemployment extension, universal background checks. GOP actually signed a contract with Grover Norquist pledging never to raise taxes on business. This corruption harms people and to end the corruption is to fire the GOP, November 2014. Take away CEO control of our lives and our money.
