Are you using Google+ yet? It's growing and more and more small business owners are finding it very beneficial to their business. In this episode I'll give you some tips to getting started with Google+.
Google+ also offers business pages, but you need a personal profile first, so that's where we'll start, your personal profile.
Google+ should you be there?
Google+ is one of the newer social media kids on the block and a lot of businesses are wondering if they need to play in that sandbox as well. So what is Google+ all about?
Google+ is a pretty big place to network. Its platform is like a combination of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn but it's important to understand that even though there are similarities, G+ does not work like Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn and must be treated quite uniquely.
So, should you be using Google+? According to Google, there are over 300 million active users but I think it's important to recognize that that number could be quite skewed. Google is a pretty powerful entity to be dealing with and they have a lot of motivational behavioural power over users.

Google+ (pronounced Google plus) is a Google social networking project. The Google+ design team sought to replicate the way people interact offline more closely than is the case in other social networking services, such as Facebook and Twitter. The project’s slogan is “Real-life sharing rethought for the web.”
You'll hear how Google+ is structured, how to organize your followers, what hangouts are and so much more.
