It is never too early to plan your giving year. We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now we have #GivingTuesday™, the giving season’s opening day. On Tuesday December 3, 2013 charities, families, businesses and individuals are coming together to transform the way people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season. The idea for the campaign sprung from Henry Timms, deputy executive director of the Jewish community center 92nd Street Y, and Kathy Calvin, CEO of the United Nations Foundation. New York’s 92nd Street Y has been the catalyst and incubator for #GivingTuesday, bringing the expertise of 139 years of community-management to the project, and providing #GivingTuesday a home. Henry Timms has also been instrumental in producing the annual Social Good Summit, in partnership with Mashable and the UN Foundation, which has opened up the UN Week conversation to over 120,000 across the world. Earlier in his career, Henry oversaw corporate strategy for Arts & Business, one of HRH The Prince of Wales’ charities, and helped to launch the Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts.

Kids and adults put on a mask and costume for Halloween. Almost all of us put on a mask our whole life and present a fake version of ourselves. We have been vulnerable and had somebody take advantage of us when we presented our true self and then we have had our heart broken. The pain of a broken heart was so intense that many of us won't let anybody else in. Today we are going to discuss using our intuition as a warning when to pull our true self in. Be true to yourself and let people think whatever they want of you ( they are anyway). Terry Cole Whitaker wrote the book; "What You Think of Me is None of my Business".
As children many of us were taught not to hurt other people's feelings and therefore we stuffed our feelings. We will discuss what our true self looks like and what our fake self looks like and where to start to reveal our true self.

Do you give expeceting something in return? This show will cover three types of giving and how they keep you open to receiving abundance or close you off from what the universe has to offer you.
If you practice the what I will share with you during this show you will be amazed how your experiences with others will shift and how fast the abundance will start to flow to you.
I hope you will join me to learn how to apply this very important universal law because when you change the way you look at things, the things you are looking at have to change~
We're back! Did you miss us? This week's show will cover the Spirit Man.. We'll answer questions as usual.. Plus more great music! So call-in
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in because thru Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace
Dr. Susan Aurelia Gitelson answers many questions about the reasons to give and how to give wisely in “Giving Is Not Just For The Very Rich: A How-to Guide for Giving and Philanthropy”. Gitelson says her book will help readers clarify their priorities, choose charitable organizations wisely and become aware of how to make a real impact. From baby boomers to young entrepreneurs, there are numerous practical ideas for giving back, which not only help others, but also allow donors to feel better about themselves. Gitelson gives examples of the wealthiest donors who act as pacesetters, but then goes on to consider other ways for everyone to give time, ideas and assets to help others. She offers examples of innovative givers, social entrepreneurs, celebrities, government officials, nonprofit professionals, volunteers and social media networkers who also have a positive impact on society.
Analyzing the major areas for giving, she reviews religious philanthropy, education K-12, higher education, science and health, arts, culture and humanities, sports, multipurpose umbrella organizations, awards and international aid. Dr. Susan Aurelia Gitelson has a bachelor’s from Barnard College and her master’s and doctorate from Columbia University. She has been president of International Consultants, Inc. and consults for international business, educational, cultural and other institutions.
She has had books and articles published on four continents and was awarded Columbia University’s prestigious medal for distinguished alumni service. She is listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World.
