Did you know that GOD draws those who are His and that His sheep know His voice and a stranger we will not follow? Did you know that everyone who walked to altars in church buildings isn't saved? Are you aware that those who are authentically born again manifest transformation in conduct that increasingly witnesses of GOD within us?
The big question I have right now is centered around this debate: are we required to repent of our sins and to avoid sin once we have become "saved" by faith in Jesus Christ? Or is salvation guaranteed no matter what you do after that point? I've always thought I had this figured out but it's amazing what sort of debate there is going on out there. I always thought it would be better to be on the safe side and not only make sure that I myself used the spiritual tools at my disposal to be in a constant state of renewal and repentance, but also to believe that it is necessary for my salvation to avoid sin at all costs. Then, as a result I would be able to encourage others to do the same. And yet there are those who claim that someone who is "working" in this way is actually not saved or born again because they are allegedly trusting in works. This to me seems like a complete paradox because these are the same people who are saying it's blasphemous to believe that you can do anything to earn or lose your salvation, but then they are calling the people who encourage repentance unsaved. These sorts of debates are completely counterproductive to the gospel mission and yet they are central to the concept of our faith. Tonight we will discuss this topic without getting too worked up and try to make sense of it. Please call in and weigh in. What do you think? Can a person lose his or her salvation by falling back into sin? Can you use scripture to back up your viewpoint? Admittedly I can not properly put this into words, but hopefully that won't matter. I pray that something will get straightened out while covering this topic.
Also, what is the role of anything political in the life of a Christian? Do Americans have a special role/view themselves differently?

No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care. Get charged up from within to be effective in impacting someone else's life. Look at where you are in life and ask yourself if you are satisfied. Get connected with the life you are living; know what you are doing and look for what you need to be doing.
Are you enjoying each day? Are you loving someone the way that they want to be loved? Are you making a difference in someone else’s life? If your answers to these questions are a weak “yes” or a strong “no”, then do something--- choose some clothes to donate to a worthy cause, visit a nursing home to brighten someone’s day, visit a school and become a “school mom”. Doing good deeds for other attracks good things to you.
You can start your journey to becoming most engaged by taking baby steps. Start your day with the questions:(1)What is my mission today? The answer can be as simple as phone someone that you have not spoken with in a while.(2)What must I accomplish today to move forward with my life? Maybe you need to advance your vocabulary and by learning one new word a day is a step in the right direction. Maybe you are struggling with weight loss/gain. Identify one thing that you will do differently to achieve your ideal weight. Set a goal for completing this resolution and be sincere in evaluating yourself at the end of the scheduled time period.
Schedule time to be good to yourself and regularly ask,” Am I rested and fully hydrated; Am I sleeping, eating, exercising, and drinking enough water to have the energy necessary for me to be my best me? You must care for yourself to be an effective sustained high performer in life.
Catholics are asked this question all the time by well-meaning family, friends, co-workers--even well-clad men and women who walk the neighborhoods on Saturday mornings trying to get them some SOULS for Jeeee-SUSSSS! Most Catholics aren't even sure what the question means, not because they aren't saved or born again (they are), but because they don't use those words to describe what happens to them when they are. So Catholics often stare blankly at the inquisitor and answer, "No, I'm not born again. I'm Catholic."
Evangelicals and other Baptist traditions don't believe Catholics are either simply because we're Catholic. They fear for our souls because they believe we follow traditions instead of the bible. However, Catholics absolutely are born again and/or saved (the terms are used interchangeably in Protestantism, but for Catholics they mean two different things that happen at two different times). We're born again the way the BIBLE tells us we have to be born again. We are saved the way the BIBLE tells us we're saved. The fact of the matter is that evangelicals may be born again (it depends) and they may be saved (eventually), but if they are, it will be a happy accident and not the result of following the Bible. Indeed, on these matters, it is the CATHOLIC who follows the Bible strictly and the evangelical who follows man-made traditions.
