IndieReview Behind The Scenes chats with Author Victoria Zigler!

    in Entertainment

Hello Everyone! My name is Michelle Cornwell-Jordan one of your host and my co-host Jamie White is also joining me! I am very excited because today we are having a chance to chat with UK Children's Author Victoria Zigler!

Victoria Zigler Bio: My name is Victoria, but most of my friends and family call me Tori. Feel free to do the same.

Born in the shadow of the black mountains in Wales, I now live by the sea in the south-east of England with my husband, Kelly, a West Highland White Terrier named Keroberous, a pair of gerbils named Bilbo and Baggins, and four Degus whose names are Jacob, Jasper, Jenks and Joshua.

Having battled with glaucoma since birth, I now find myself completely blind. But I didn't let that stop me from chasing the dream I've had since I was a young child: the dream of being a published author. I've loved to read and write since I learned how, and always wanted to get my work published. Finally, in 2012, I made that dream come true by self-publishing. So now I'm a published author of children's fiction, as well as a couple of poetry collections.

Interview: Kathleen Quinn, Pilots 'n' Paws

    in Pets

Pilots N Paws. Doesn't that just have an awesome ring to it?
It gets even better. Pilots N Paws is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that connects volunteer pilots with shelter animals needing transport to forever homes across the country. While Pilots N Paws doesn't organize or arrange these transports, it does provide a common forum online for those involved to schedule and arrange flights, overnight foster care or shelter, and other related activites. The organization is officially based in Landrum, South Carolina, but has volunteers nationwide.
ABOUT KATHLEEN QUINN Kathleen Quinn is executive director for Pilots N Paws. She has been volunteering with the organization since its launch in February 2008. In her new staff role, she will design, develop and implement strategic plans to grow Pilots N Paws, which includes a focus on fundraising and social media.
A 2008 graduate of Miami University, Kathleen earned degrees in business, entrepreneurship, and American studies. She graduated from Georgetown University with a master's degree in journalism. While in D.C., Kathleen also served as a congressional intern.
As a child, Kathleen had aspirations of one day becoming a veterinarian. "Although we lived in the suburbs, growing up, our house resembled a mini petting zoo. Amongst the critters were gerbils, dogs, a cat, box turtles, a salamander, a hermit crab, even chicks we hatched from an incubator. Across the street from was the Metropark animal nature center, so I was always rescuing wounded wildlife and takem them across the street to be rehabilitated."

Sports Counseling with the Doc and Slim

    in Sports

In the final episode before the Christmas holiday, your hosts @JakobMD and @SlimCliffy will prepare you for your championship week in fantasy football! Looking ahead to Week 16, we'll talk who should start, who should sit, who we have confidence in and who we wouldn't trust our pet gerbils with. We (you) will also have the chance to pick the brain of a fantasy football analyst that tends to ask more questions than most, and that's a good thing, with @Bernack6 of  http://the-bernack.blogspot.ca/

We will also wander into other areas as we tend to do, be it fantasy baseball, hockey rants or the level of sobriety on certain "holidays".

So for most of you that are in your fantasy football championship, this is your last chance to get your Sports Counseling!
