Kill Technology - Gene Genocide
by Anna Kavanaugh in News

Kill Technology - Gene GenocideThe GM industry has developed what is termed, "terminator technology," and has already utilized gene silencing techniques to manipulate certain gene expressions from occurring in transgenic crops, and intend the same for the bee population which is currently in a state of crisis due to colony collapse disorder brought on by what is believed the excessive use of pesticides required for farmers to control Super Weeds in genetically modified crops. The industry now plans to implement this kill technology in a variety of ways, including the eradication of insect species and certain rodents. Experts in the biotech field have warned about GM wheat currently in development, saying it could potentially silence human genes if ingested and result in both premature death and future generations inheriting this critical defect. The implications and ethical issues involving this technology are profoundly frightening and potentially catastrophic to our delicate ecosystem, the future of human health and our evolutionary process. What is the natural progression of this technology if fully implemented? Instead of preserving plant, animal and insect species, will we now terminate those which are inconvenient to our motivations? Could we be headed for a culture as in 'GATTACA' where eugenics in human life is standard and accepted practice? The possibility is not as science fiction as it sounds.

man of steel review
by shaun kalel fleming in Movies
Tags: man of steel superman henry cavill dc comics warner bothers
on friday on opening day i am going see man of steel at marcus grand cinema. i hope this makes up for superman returns. don't get me wrong brandon routh was good superman but was giving a bad story. but with man of steel i hope henry cavill can make up for it. i hope he does a awesome job as clark kent/superman. but the superman outfit looks so alien but made me think what if he wore that on his planet. but i think it about time what the s stands for which is hope. in this case we all need it right now. other thing that gets me is jor-el alive in this movie or is he dead or zod keeping him as bait for his son. don't me wrong it hard to do a good superman movie u can't beat 78 richard donner film superman the movie. which start christopher reeve as superman. that film is true classic and gene hackman as lex luthor. but after i see it on friday i give u my thoughts and if u have any question or want give your thoughts on it call in. and tell us if u like it or hate it. now there saying that henry cavill sign on to do two more superman movies rurmor has it that one is going be a world finest and then justice league movie. if those rurmor are true i hope to see a movie where batman and superman are team up and then lead it with a justice league movie. but it like i said it hard to beat richard donner film that was a true comic book film and stay true to the root. also i am wondering on how kevin costner is going play mr kent in the film and russell crowe playing jor-el. those two are perfect pick for those roles but it going be hard to fill in on what glenn ford did for 78 movie and john schneider did for smallville. as for actors who play jor-el like marlon brando and juilan sands and terence stamp did for smallville also when they play jor-el. i am wondering on how russell crowe is going play his jor-el for this movie. but after friday and when i see it i tell u if i love it,like it or thought it was ok.

Are we pre programmed to be Liberal or Conservative? Some say Liberalism is in the genes . The idea has come from the fact that too much spending with little control comes from somewhere. According to researchers at Harvard and University of California (San Diego), ideolgy is not affected just by social factors but by a dopamine receptor called DRD4. James Fowler, Professor of political science and medical genetics, conducted the study that found that people "with a specific variant of the DRD4 gene were more likely to be liberal as adults." However, the, subjects were only more likely to have leanings to the left if they were also socially active during adolescence.
