The online blog Gawker has been in a war of words (Jesus's words to be exact) for the past week. A blogger named Jennifer Martin from the website Gawker has attacked Matt Walsh, a blogger from The Blaze, over his post on Bruce/Caitlin Jenner and transgenderism in general.
Its been a nasty exchange but there are real and important issues that this "debate" brings up and we're here to talk about them tonight.
What was Gawker's real motive? Did Matt Walsh express anything that millions of people wern't thinking? Does it do more harm than good to distort truth to make a point or make attacks personal?
How many social media apps can you name? And how many of these does your teenager have on their phone? It's not just facebook anymore, and technology has paved the way for newer (and possibly more dangerous) apps that you aren't aware of. Snapchat, twitter, instagram, kik, whisper, tumblr and many more are here today and gone tomorrow. But what they were created for is not always the reason they are used by many teenagers. Join psychotherapist Tom Stevens as he interviews actual teenagers and finds out what life is like in the world of social media from a teenagers perspective. Call (347)838-9737 to listen LIVE on your phone or even to make a comment or ask a question. Parents this is your chance to get up to speed and know what you need to know about the world of social media.

I am so tired of being manipulated by the media sources Fox News is the worst but CNN and MSNBC is horrible as well. It seems no one trust us to think for ourselves and it is my belief that it's time we pick up on cameras even if it our phone camera and microphone and tell our own stories. Speak from our own hearts
Co-hosts Sammy Jacobs and T.J. Inman will preview some of the questions facing the Hoosiers heading into the 2015 Big Ten Media Days.

On tonight's show we are talking social media etiquette... Is there such a thing? Nowadays social media is not new but people are still learning how to communicate effectively so as to convey a point and yet not say things that will cost them more than they realize.
So tonight we need to talk about a few things including has the reach of social media gone too far. is social media a necessity to be successful? and why? pros and cons... And so much more!
Tonight on Blacktopia Radio, we are asking the quesitons is there
"No Country for Men on Social Media ?"
"Why the lack of male participation on forum topics ?"
The world of Social Media is beyond big. There are an infinite amount of forums....many of them invite anyone who is interested in joining....while others only appeal to certain niches. Some forums would like a balance of men and women...however the male participation might be lacking.
In any event we shall discuss what is needed to balance out the participation.
Wait just a Leap-Second . . . One day for Social Media? Doesn't social media go on 24/7/365? Maybe it has something to do with Einstiens theory of Special Relativity. Naw, seems like more of an economic issue. Let's ask Dr. Thomas Sowell, PhD. He should know.
And if you want to find out, listen to today's show!
