Author, gallery owner, and Miami native, Stacy Conde, grew up in and around Miami’s burgeoning art scene.
Conde’s love of art and design flourished under the tutelage of her mentor, legendary fashion designer, illustrator, and Biba founder Barbara Hulanicki. Over the course of ten years, Ms. Conde worked on a variety of projects with Hulanicki, as well as Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, from costuming, to complete renovations of historic art deco hotelsand nightclubs. The collaboration continues to this day, as Conde serves asHulanicki’s artist representative in the North American market.
Conde has recently returned to Miami after nearly a decade in Chicago. Delighted by the growth and diversity in Miami’s art community, Conde has opened a new gallery in Little Havana, Conde Contemporary. She is again spotlighting contemporary art with a focus on Cuban works. Her inspirational book, The Red Speck, an allegorical journey into the self, is available on Amazon.
