The weekend has passed, and so has the fundraiser. I get to tell you my experience; the love I felt; my overall feelings, and the grand total of it all. Don't forget, though, because I didn't. It is our Dancing Monday!
Put on those tennis shoes. Grab your water bottle. Grab a partner. Let's boogie until we can't oogie no more! I got quite a mix-up of songs for ya.

Wolfgang Halbig has lived a life of serving the public as a law enforcement officer, school official, and school safety expert.
Formerly the Executive Director of the National Institute for School and Workplace Safety, Wolfgang Halbig has recently formed a new safety and security company, WK & Associates. Previous to founding NISWS, Mr. Halbig worked in public education as a teacher, dean, assistant principal, principal, director of an alternative school and as the Director for School Safety and Security of the Seminole County Public Schools, a school district of approximately 65,000 students.
Mr. Halbig also has law enforcement experience as a former Florida State Trooper in Miami, Florida, and as a United States Customs Inspector. As a result of his unique background in both law enforcement and education, Mr. Halbig has been invited to provide presentations and keynotes to a variety of audiences, including the National Education Law Conference, the National School Board Association, the Oklahoma School Board Association, the Illinois School Board Association, the New York State School Board Association and the Florida School Board Association. Mr. Halbig has also been featured on NBC Dateline and CBS Good Morning America.
Mr. Halbig visited Sandy Hook and addressed the Newtown School Board about the circumstances of the alleged event, where the school appeared to have been abandoned by 2008 and then used as a prop for a drill, which was conducted on 13 December 2012 and then taken “LIVE” the following day, where we have even discovered the FEMA Manual for the exercise. Since this time Mr Halbig has many questions about the Sandy Hook event he cannot get answers for, and as a former state trooper, and expert witness at other school shooting cases including Columbine. He was even paid a visit by police telling him to back off.

Rebecca Pikus writes for Coachella Valley Weekly, "Sealed with a kiss is a term used to express endearment from one person to another. “SW” just happens to be the first two letters of Sandy Swett’s last name (the photographer) and “AK” are the last two letters of Peter Mikulak's last name (the artist). “SWAK” was created as a way to identify their creative collaboration, two artists working on one portrait. Peter started playing with words and names and this one “SWAK” stuck a cord between both of them.
Both Sandy and Peter express a level of endearment about their work and it shows in their over the top techniques mastered in the creation of SWAK portraits. Sandy, owner of Red Door Pictures and Pets n Their People Photography. Peter Mikulak a professional working artist for the last six years has a portfolio of accomplishments that some artists never experience." See the complete story by Rebecca Pikus.

Adina Wolf will be cycling to raise money to help find a cure for the IBD Diseases of Crohns and Colitis
I spin4 so many people living their lives with these diseases -- countless amazing people I met through my incredible job with CCFA, some wonderful and inspiring friends and family members, but most of all my mom. My mom has always been one of my biggest supporters, and as such she participated in two half marathons for CCFA, while I was working there (raising over $10,000!!) mostly because she supported me and causes that I care about, and because she's just pretty fantastic. But, in an ironic turn of events, this year she was diagnosed with Crohn's -- what are the chances?! Well, about 1 in 200 to be exact, but if you look at my network you would think it's so many more. Thank you for supporting me and my mom as we take small steps/spin4 cures in the near future!
Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are both major categories of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). IBD affects an estimated 1.6 million Americans. These chronic diseases tend to run in families and they affect males and females equally. Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract and may affect any part from the mouth to the anus. Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition limited to the colon, otherwise known as the large intestine.

Sandy C and J Michael will be sharing this new movement about Hidden Hunger Global and how their mission is to save the lives of children and also impact families here in Hawaii and beyond!
J Michael Smith had a very successful career in the restaurant industry having managed, owned and operated restaurants on Oahu and Maui from the mid 70's through 2007 . He lived on this beautiful island for 17 years, and currently resides in the state of Texas. He is going to share his experience about being a previous business owner here in the state and also the realization of how expensive it is to live in paradise. From his experience working with the people of the island and seeing first hand the struggle that people have financially here in this state, you can understand why he is on a mission to help the families of Hawaii make a better life for themselves. He is also very passionate about saving children and has lived in Ethiopia when he was a child. Africa is very dear to his heart and you can understand his passion to help those who are in desperate need. He has seen this with his own eyes and lived among those less fortunate. He is very aware of the current conditions around the world and will be sharing his knowledge on the show.
Sandy Conway has lived on Maui for the last 15 years and loves the culture of this great state of Hawaii! She is the Co-Founder of Maui Women Live Out Loud whose mission is to share, care, and pray for the women of Maui. When she learned of Hidden Hunger Global, she was so inspired by the movement of this organization. She has been searching for a cause-based organization to join forces with to save the lives of children, but also to make a better life for herself. Her mission is share the news with the world about Hidden Hunger Global and the difference it can make for everyone.
