Carol the Coach will be interviewoing Paul Hartman who will be speaking about his double mission. First is helping the addict get sober, stay sober, and progressing to deeper recovery. That includes healing past and present trauma wounds, exploring family of origin issues, accessing emotions that may have been repressed or stuffed, reducing shame, claiming self esteem, and living life as a functional adult. His second mission focuses on the couple because he believe the original relationship wounded by sexual betrayal cannot be healed. Even when both partners want to preserve the relationship, the wounds are too deep and the old relationship must be allowed to die. The good news is that if the addict establishes consistent, relapse free sobriety and the partner chooses to believe that partner is a new person in recovery who is honest and trustworthy, they can create a brand new relationship together. With willingness, help, and hard work over time; the new relationship can be better than anything they have ever had together including going back to a time that predates the addiction.
This is an inspiring show that will help both the addict and the partner to trust in hope-strength-recovery!
Attorney Sarah Avraham and writer Bennet Pomerantz discuss the subjects of the day.
The audience should know that although Ms. Avraham is a licensed attorney, she is not offering legal advice in any capacity, is not establishing an attorney/client relationship with anyone listening to the show, and recommends that any listener of the show consult a local attorney for any legal advice they may require.
This show is about us discussing hot topics and how they relate to the law.raha provision of the state’s income tax law unconstitutional, leaving the state and its counties on the hook for as much as $200 million in refunds and facing significant cuts in revenue. While this sounds ideal to taxpayers, especially after yet another Tax Day has come and gone, what will be the ramifications of such a decision by SCOTUS? Tune in to hear our hosts answer that and other questions on this issue.
Last week we had an out of this world special guest. If you have not heard that program, please go back and listen before the show as we will be talking about the revelations from that program tonight. Itasha will be back May 11th to continue our conversation and take your questions.
In addition to a review of your reactions and thoughts about last week, we will be covering the concepts in the Chapter Talking with ET from my book.
I want this to be a very interactive program, so please call with your thoughts on last week’s program. We are especially interested in your analysis and self-assessment of your own reaction to Itasha’s little revelation last week. How did you find yourself reacting?
I think it is pretty obvious Itasha is here for the right reasons and working for our benefit. Did you find yourself ready to act as a diplomat with people like her? Have you spent some time contemplating how you would introduce someone like her to your friends, co-workers, or other groups you are affiliated with?
Have you considered possible problems associated with introducing our star cousins to various people or groups you know? Who do you think would have the most trouble accepting this new paradigm?
We will talk about all of these issues and more tonight.
We always welcome your questions and calls.
Call 1-646-478-3085 and if you wish to talk press 1 to be put in the cue.

ENVISION THIS: In the new holistic paradigm that includes medical marijuana, mind-body-spirit health is the biggest priority.
Our guest, Norma Eckroate, is author of The Medical Marijuana Handbook: A Patient’s Guide to Holistic Healing with Cannabis. She writes, “As a cannabis patient myself, I have distilled information in these pages that I found essential in my personal quest to understand the herb, its various forms, and the new options available to patients. I want to answer your questions, soothe your concerns, and give you the information you – or a family member or friend – need to effectively use medical cannabis.”
She speaks and writes about many aspects of the medical use of cannabis including her own experience, self-healing capacity of the body, the chemistry of this “superherb”, various sub-species for energizing or relaxing, balancing the autonomic nervous system, product options, safety, side-effects including psychoactive effects, and legal aspects of medical usage.
Our favorite chapter is her last, How to Deal with the New Normal – Being a Patient Requires Patience. Her guidelines include but are not limited to: let go of victim / martyr energy; remember that you are worthy; let go of the need to JADE -- justify, argue, defend or explain yourself; stop juggling so many balls and decide which priorities really matter; eat a super-nutritious diet; indulge in vitamin P (pleasure) with every meal and snack; treat yourself to more fun and joy.
