Psalm 3:1-8 (KJV)
1 LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
1 Corinthians 6:1-20 (KJV)
12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Kelley Alsobrook was born and raised in Miami, Florida and has resided in Memphis, TN with her husband for the past fourteen years. Growing up in an abusive home was something that is known well to Mrs. Alsobrook. Being sexually, physically, and mentally abused in her youth she came to accept this kind of treatment from a man. This abuse continued into her adult hood as she became the victim of human trafficking and domestic violence. Being disconnected from her family and being a single mother she became a very easy target for a pimp that preyed on her vulnerability. She continued in this lifestyle for approx 4 years. The guilt, shame and self loathing of this lifestyle led her into drug use as her life spiraled downward. She felt there was no hope of ever escaping. Once she escaped this torturous lifestyle she was determined to help others get through these same experiences. She is now passionate about seeing those who have been beaten, broken, battered, and bruised become whole. This was the motivation for beginning Ashes2Beauty.

Learning To Set Healthy Boundaries
Setting healthy boundaries can be a daunting task. We witness this challenge pop up in all kinds of relationships, whether it's with a business partner, a friend, or in a romantic relationship. Unfortunately we experience this uncomfortable pattern until we heal the root cause of the behavior.
Oftentimes this behavior is deeply rooted in fear. Relationships become unhealthy when we act from a place of fear, rather than love. More often than not, we aren’t even aware of the fears that have been driving our choices, blocking us from doing what’s best for ourselves, and damaging our relationships. But learning to set healthy boundaries offers a perfect opportunity to strengthen our capacity to love ourselves and release the ego's fearful perceptions.
Tonight on Emerge365 we will help you identify the signs you need to create more boundaries in your life and walk you through the first steps for choosing love over fear, honoring yourself, and creating healthier and more meaningful connections while allowing your true self to emerge.

Many people in recovery struggle with both alcohol AND food disorders. This issue is so common you often hear food addiction referred to as a "sister" addiction to alcoholism.
We have had many requests for a show that addresses the particular challenges for people in recovery who struggle with both, so we are thrilled to welcome Alison Ross, LMFT to our show!
Alison is a licensed psychotherapist and the Founder of Center for Eating Recovery where she helps women and men of all ages heal their relationship with food and become body-confident. In addition to her work at the Center, she is a consultant for Harmony Place a drug and alcohol treatment center, and formerly Beit T’Shuvah, where she helps to create an environment in which women can heal their relationship with food and body while adjusting to sobriety.
On the show, Alison and Carissa, an Eating Coach at the Center, discuss three cultural narratives that keep us stuck in food addiction and body image distress and how to break free and get healthy from the inside-out.
