Black Thoughts and Theory: The Radio Show- Flint, Tee Shirts & Politics

    in Politics

    Flint, Tee-Shirts & Politics

This week on Black Thoughts and Theory: The Radio Show Alex Primo(aka Stokely Carmichael for 2016) and Asha Zuri will be talking about the water situation in Flint, Michigan, the N-word comedy tee-shirt, Trump, Hillary, Sanders, and other current events that we need to dissect and explore.

And I must admit that I do not believe that anything that happened in Flint was accidental. You don't switch from "clean" water to lead-loaded poison by accident. So we will have to discuss this for a few.

We will also talk about Black solidarity and what it means. Some of us need another reminder that sticking together is the only way that we can defeat this opponent. Marching and trying to be good citizens has never freed us. So let's be real and learn from our wise forerunners ... unify and embrace black economics.

Plus we will have another Healthy Matters update from Dennis Jefferson, who has a lot to tell us about Flint.

    The Forerunners

    in Spirituality

"The present cycle is called technically 'The Stage of the Forerunner'. It is preparatory in nature, testing in its methods, and intended to be revelatory in its techniques and results" from the book 'Externalisation of the Hierarchy' by Alice Bailey.

Shabaka's Black Experience - Cooperative Economics In The Black Community

    in Culture

Join Shabaka and Jerry as they discuss black economics and black empowerment for the Melanated family. Tonight's episode will include Black economics, reinvesting in our community, flexing our buying power, and other ways to strengthen the Melanated Nation.

The reason we are focusing on Black economics today is because at some point we seem to have forgotten the importance of working together. From the time Black people arrived in this nation, whether by force or by choice,we knew that our best chance for survival was by working together. Whether it be sharing a garden tool or sharing a small kitchen, blacks knew that combining resources would improve our living conditions; Even when we could not physically fight for freedom we pooled our resources to purchase it for those of us who where up for sale.

So as you can see the Melanated man has always known that our unity is a powerful tool. Let get back to the old ways of our wise forerunners and build a great Black community that is focused on taking care of one another and doing what's right.

Black Thoughts and Theory: The Radio Show- Melanated Self-Defense

    in Culture

    Melanated Self-Defense

Some of you believe that we cannot defeat those who would subdue or slaughter us. Well, I do not share such cowardly and ridiculous thoughts. Sure we have to be smart because they are formidable, but if I may paraphrase Garvey, the power that holds African Americans is not divine ... it is flesh and blood.

Join Alex Primo, Asha Zuri, and Zhe Levels Scott Thursday October 1 at 9 PM EST as we discuss not only what is possible in regards to Melanated Self-Defense, but we will explore and examine what our great forerunners did in the past to protect one another. We will look at a Black Doctor who knew he had to take up arms to protect his family and people. We will look at a brother who believed in shoot first and shoot last. We will also look at Indigenous Americans fighting the Klan and more.

And of course the good brother Dennis Jefferson will be bringing us another fantastic episode of Healthy Matters.

This is going to be a HOT one so get ready to tune-in.

    Life in God’s Family

    in Christianity

The grand purpose for which God created mankind is utterly awe-inspiring. And realize that this destiny is not only for humanity in a general sense—but it is meant for you personally. God wants to exalt you to share eternal, divine life with Him and all of His children. If God is opening your mind to the awesome potential for which He made you, then He is inviting you to be among the forerunners in His plan for mankind —to be His spiritual son or daughter now in anticipation of the full glory to be bestowed at the resurrection of the dead when Jesus Christ returns. Who, then, are the children of God today? Who will yet become part of God’s immortal spiritual family? How can you or any of us attain that awesome destiny? And what will life be like when we are ultimately raised to glorified existence?

Black Thoughts and Theory: The Radio Show- Lessons From The Panthers

    in Culture

Before we reinvent the wheel, let's look back at and study the work of some of our bravest and boldest forerunners, such as the Black Panthers. A party that was formed to combat racism and oppression during the 60's.

Join Asha Zuri and Alex Primo, Thursday June 18th at 9 pm EST, as we dissect the aggressive philosophy and insightful programs that these brave men and women brought to our much ignored and mistreated communities across the country.

Whether it was mass organization/mobilization, survival programs, self-defense, feeding the children, or Black Nationalism and Black Pride, the Panthers were a breath of fresh air to many neighborhoods where complaints were many and answers were few.

Black Wall Street & Black Communities Destroyed By Racism

You've heard about Black Wall Street(1921) and maybe even Rosewood(1923), but how about the East St. Louis Massacre (1917), Knoxville, Tennessee Race Riots (1919), or  Bruces' Beach (1910's-1920's).

Join Alex Primo and Asha Zuri Thursday June 4th at 9 pm EST as we discuss the the destruction of Black towns, communities, and businesses that have been attacked or destroyed due to jealousy, hatred, and racism.

There can be no confusion America has no stomach for Black success. How else can you explain the wanton and reckless aggression directed at successful Melanated persons in this country? History actually records the fact that the prosperity of our people was the motivation for many of these acts of savagery.

Let's take a look back and see what our forerunners achieved and try to learn from their mistakes. Because if we are going to do it again, we are going to have to do it better.

John Burton - Revivalist and President School of Revival

    in Christianity

“The coming moves of God will require nothing short of a revolution of our current structures, models and mindsets. Not an adjustment or an enhancement, but deep reform. The resulting fire and presence of the Holy Spirit will cause us to marvel and wonder why we ever resisted at all.”- John Burton, based on his book 20 Elements of Revival

    Mission Statement

theFurnace exists to gather forerunners who are united in the mandate to initiate reformation in the church and revival in the region. As carriers of the fire of God, we are single-minded in our mission to rally a generation that will embrace the cross of Christ, pursue radical holiness, engage in fervent prayer, live a life of repentance and experience both the freedom and the fear of the Lord.

John carries a real passion and anointing for revival, breakthrough and transformation. He carries and releases the tangible fire of God and brings people into encounters with God's presence. He is a strong equipper in the areas of prayer and evangelism and mobilizes people to carry God's word and presence outside the four walls of the church building. John is also a great preacher of the word. He has had many years of ministry experience both as a pastor and evangelist. His understanding of local church ministry makes his ministry well rounded and unique. He pastors, oversees a school of ministry and travels releasing the fire of God and igniting hearts with a passion for Jesus. I believe he would be a great blessing to your church. Matt Sorger

Has the End of the World Come Upon Us? (Part 15) The End of False Teachers

    in Christianity

    TEXT: 2 Timothy 3:1-9
Today, in our final message on this passage, we are going to look at the end result of all of those who persist in the depraved activity described in this passage, and particularly at what will become of the false teachers who lead others astray. Paul likens these teachers to Jannes and Jambres -- the Egyptian magicians who opposed Moses when he came to Pharaoh saying, "Let my people go." Now, these magicians -- and these false teachers -- were not just pulling tricks on people. They were able to work real miracles, but by the power of darkness and not the power of God. When Moses cast down his rod and it turned into a serpent, the magicians did the same. When Moses smote the waters of the Nile and frogs came forth, the Egyptian magicians did the same. However, Moses' serpent ate the serpents of the Egyptians, showing God's power to be superior to the powers of darkness that the Egyptians subscribed to. And, after the plague of frogs, the Egyptian magicians were not able to produce any of the other plagues that Moses produced by the power of God.
The Bible warns us that in the end times "there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." These signs and wonders will be real and will be wrought by the power of Satan. The false teachers of today are the forerunners of these false Christs and false prophets. The Bible tells us three things about them: (1) they resist the truth, (2) they have corrupt minds, and (3) they are reprobate concerning the faith.
