Are you ready for elective or emergency surgery? There are so many reasons for surgery, but the prep for health should be the same. Your own biofilm from your own teeth can and do transfer onto the intubation tube that leads right into your lungs.
Shirley's guest, Richard Longland is the Founder of the Arthroplasty Patient Foundation, a non-profit organization and ADRSupport, a global community to support spine patients with advanced degenerative diseases. Richard has obsessively researched chronic bacterial infections from a unique perspective: as a patient with undiagnosed and untreated pneumonia, patient advocate and now a film producer for the documentary titled, Why Am I Still Sick? The film focuses on bacterial biofilms and their role in chronic diseases that sicken and kill millions of Americans.
How did he get sick and what did it take to find the cause after successfully recovering from his own surgery? A type of pneumonia nearly killed him before he found the cause and got appropriate treatment.

What's a suicide tooth you ask? It's a tooth that has had a number of fillings, a crown or two, a root canal with new decay and/or new root tip abscess. A tooth that has other teeth around it in either good health or without active disease. Is that a condition that warrants another floss or brush lecture? Is it a tooth that needs more dentistry, or is it a tooth that never had the right treatment?
Follow along with Shirley Gutkowski as she talks about how she's doing as a chairside dental hygienist. When you're done you'll find that you have new questions to ask your dentist, dental hygienist, or patient. Share with your facebook, google+, and other social media groups. You'll look really smart if you do.

Yeah, ain't never had nothing. Some people use this as a reason to spend money like there's no tomorrow on stuff they don't really need while others use it as an excuse to put others down who don't have what they now have.
Growing up without having lots of material things has the potential to bring out the worst in some folks. For a select few it can propel people to help others that are in need. But the negative more obnoxious side oftem seems to take center stage. One of the biggest pitfalls of growing up being broke is that it has the potential to really cloud your perspective about what should be important in life which are often things that don't involve money.
Money runs so much of our society that many ambitious people can't see past it and when you mix that with the fact that a person may be trying to compensate for not being able to keep up withthe Jones' while growing up and you can have a recipe for disaster.
Check out these qusetions for this week's show:
Do you think that growing up being broke is a reason that many of our youth turn to drug selling or drug use?
Is it okay to adopt a materialistic attitude if you've worked for the money you have?
Is it okay to put people who have less than you down?
If you got it, flaunt it. Do you think that's okay?
Do you think growing up broke makes people think that they can buy people and is that okay?
Does growing up broke and becoming rich bring out the worst in people?
What do you think of celebrities like Floyd Mayweather who flaunt their wealth the way that they do?
Does growing up being broke make you want everything?
Does growing up turn people into misers?

What's the topic? We don't know until the show starts. We have some ideas on what to talk about - but the callers shape the show!
Three ways to connect:
Call: (646) 595-4888 to talk to the hosts (POTS, Cell or SkypeOut)
Skype in via the webpage, but you'll need to register on BlogTalkRadio.com site first (choose the FREE account, not paid account).

See You Online!
Free Libre Open Source Software. FLOSS is what I'm talking about.
Free as in you can own most any kind of software for $0.
Libre as in you are liberated from having to pay for software
Open Source as in you have access to the software code.
Software as in Operating Systems and Applications.
I will talk about FLOSS that exists, today in the form of Operating Systems and Applications that I use and a few that I know other people use and therefore you might want to know about and potential use.
I will talk about using http://distrowatch.org to locate, download and monitor new releases of software. I will talk about categories of software, downloading ISO images and booting your computer with LiveCDVD to demo the software before installing it.
The introductory version of the above will cover a whole hour, if I move through it pretty quickly. More than likely some topics will not be covered fully because of limited time and for sure if anyone calls in I will allow them to focus my attention on their questions and personal situation.
email@example.com is my contact info.
