Race director of the new X100, John Kolarevic, joins the show to discuss his new Michigan endurance mountain bike race set for August 24th near Traverse City.
Listeners are welcome to call in and ask about the event. Are you wondering about the schedule or the course, this is your chance to get the exact info!
Description from the X100 Race Website:
"The X100, Michigan’s Ultimate Mountain Bike Xventure, starts and finishes at Beautiful RANCH RUDOLF nestled right on the Boardman River just 15 miles South of Traverse City.
The race is 100 miles of twisting single track that winds in and out of county gravel roads, two tracks and fire roads. Bikers roll through the most beautiful terrain Michigan has to offer: deep woods and steep hills dotted with pristine lakes, streams and ponds. The X100 has some killer cross-country riding – until now – known only by die-hard locals."
This episode is about the real reason why some obese people can't or won't lose weight. We will explore the truth about why so many obese people simply give up, even when they know their weight is killing them. Can you handle the truth? Calling in with questions or comments during the show is encouraged.
You read that right - our rates of obesity, heart disease, and diabetes are on the rise because we are eating too much refined carbs and not eating enough fat (or at least the right kinds).
In this podcast, Luke will discuss the history of the low-fat craze, how it pervaded mainstream thinking, and why fat is still being held in "nutritional prison" for a crime it didn't commit.
Find out the REAL cause of most modern disease and what you can do about it!
On Sunday June 09, 2013 at 9 AM Pacific time, 12 PM eastern time, we had the honor of interviewing two of our favorite MGM Stargate female celebrities in the second of our new series of Stargate reunions at WHR You Decide with you for a special Stargate Summit we spoke to a Goa'uld System Lord or the Wraith Queen!
We talked to the Wraith Queen (Andee Frizzell) and Nirrti (Jacqueline Samuda), who have decided to cooperate, err collude together as the newest threat to Earth and the helpless Tau'ri!
What evil plans are afoot? What despicable fiendish manipulations await? We hope to find out as we talk to these two beautiful but scarey ladies of evil on our next show!
Today Laura Theodore, the Jazzy Vegetarian welcomes master saxophonist PAUL WINTER who is winner of six Grammy Awards and twelve Grammy nominations. We’ll hear about his 50th Anniversary Anthology album of the Paul Winter Sextet, and his journey as a musician and vegetarian. Look for the companion cookbook to Season Three: Jazzy Vegetarian Classics: Vegan Twists on American Family Favorites. (You can pre-order it now!) Paul Winter’s musical realm has long embraced the traditions of the world’s cultures, as well as the extraordinary voices of what he refers to as “the greater symphony of the Earth.” His concert tours and recording expeditions have taken him to thirty-seven countries and to wilderness areas on six continents. Winter’s forming of Living Music Records in 1980 has created the recording forum for the exploration of his musical-ecological sound-vision, enabling musicians to record special Earth Music and reach the human community with music of the wider earth community. The timeless music of Living Music Records is usually recorded in Winter’s barn-studio surrounded by protected woodland, sometimes in natural acoustic spaces such as the Grand Canyon, and frequently beneath the vaults of the Cathedral of St John the Divine, the world’s largest Gothic cathedral where the Consort are artists-in-residence. Paul Winter’s Winter and Summer Solstice Celebrations, and Earth Mass performed each Feast of St Francis, are among the most popular seasonal events in New York City.
