Your host and founder of www.positivelypetsandkids.com welcomes the amazing organization Green Acres Farm Sanctuary. Located on 28 acres in Silverton, Oregon Green Acres Farm Sanctuary is home to both small and large farm animals. We are ever expanding our pastures and shelters in order to help more abused, abandoned and unwanted farm animals. Our animals enjoy peaceful pastures along Brush Creek and shelter in several barns including a vintage 1928 gambrel barn. We also provide an on going foster program for SafeHaven Humane Society that has given countless kittens and puppies a safe place until they can be put up for adoption. Caring for horses, donkeys, goats, chickens and ducks requires alot of work and money. Green Acres Farm Sanctuary can always use help from caring friends like you. Description Green Acres Farm Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which does not receive state or federal funding. Our work is supported by individual donors like you.

A boundary is a personal property line that marks those things for which we are responsible. Boundaries define who we are and who we are not. Having clear boundaries is essential to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Spiritual boundaries help us to distinguish God's will from our own and give us renewed awe for our Creator. Often, Christians focus so much on being loving and unselfish that they forget their own limits and limitations. When confronted with their lack of boundaries, they ask, can I set limits and still be a loving person? What are legitimate boundaries? Join the discussion with Awaken your life; Soul Care with M. Brown.

ABOUT GENE BAUR Gene Baur has been hailed as “the conscience of the food movement” by Time magazine. Since the mid-1980s, he has traveled extensively, campaigning to raise awareness about the abuses of industrialized factory farming and our system of cheap food production.
A pioneer in the field of undercover investigations, Gene has visited hundreds of farms, stockyards, and slaughterhouses, documenting the deplorable conditions that exist. His pictures and videos exposing factory farming cruelties have aired nationally and internationally, educating millions about the plight of modern farm animals.
Gene has also testified in courts and before local, state, and federal legislative bodies, advocating for better conditions for farm animals. His most important achievements include winning the first-ever cruelty conviction at a U.S. stockyard and introducing the first U.S. laws to prohibit cruel farming confinement methods in Florida, Arizona, and California. His efforts have been covered by top news organizations, including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and The Wall Street Journal. In 2008, Gene’s book, Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food, became a national bestseller. As a guest on The Martha Stewart Show’s first-ever “vegan show,” he inspired viewers to eat in alignment with their values of compassion. Gene began his activist career selling veggie hotdogs out of a VW van at Grateful Dead concerts to fund farm animal rescues. Today, he serves as president of Farm Sanctuary, the nation’s leading farm animal protection organization, with shelters in New York and California.
Gene holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from California State University, Northridge, and a master’s degree in agricultural economics from Cornell University.
