Testimony of Ex-Mormon Bishop Lee Baker

    in Christianity

Ex-Mormon Bishop Earl Erskine interviews former Mormon Bishop Lee Baker on his TV Program: Ex Mormon Files: Journeys from Mormonism to Jesus Christ. They talk about their experiences as Mormon Bishops in Hawaii.  Reasons why they left Mormonism include Joseph Smith's false Boasting: “I have more to boast of than ever any man had…A large majority of the whole have stood by me.  Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I.…”—Joseph Smith, May 26, 1844, History of the Church, vol 6, pp. 408-409 and Smith's polygamy and polyandry - “For although a man may have many revelations, and have power to do many mighty works, yet if he boasts in his own strength, and sets at naught the counsels of God, and follows after the dictates of his own will and carnal desires, he must fall and incur the vengeance of a just God upon him.”—Doctrine and Covenants 3:4 For more information see: http://4mormon.org/why-did-joseph-smith-die-so-young/  Connect with us at: www.LeeBaker.4mormon.org

Mormon Doctrine not in the Book of Mormon

    in Christianity

If anyone removes, rewrites or restricts any of the teachings of Christ, he should not be disregarded and exposed.  The very thing that the Mormon Church is doing today when it distorts the true Gosple of Jesus Christ and changes the Word of God was happening in the Apostle Paul's day so he warned his followers:

2 Corinthians 11:13-15: "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

There is no need for a human prophet today because Jesus is our Final Prophet (Hebrews 1:1-2) and His Words are complete and perserved in the Bible (Matthew 24:35).  Yet, the Mormons claim the Book of Mormon was needed to "restore" things missing in the Biblical Gospel, but even this is false because these doctrines are not taught in the Book of Mormon

Baptism and Sealing in the Mormon Temple (Mormon Temple does not resemble the Biblical Temple nor does it mention Celestial marriage. Jesus in the Bible said there is no marriage in heaven (Matthew 22:30).
Plurality of Gods and that men can become gods (Disagrees with the Biblical God that there is only 1 God Isaiah 43:10 and the Book of Mormon that teaches there is only one God Alma 11:28-29 and Mosiah 15:15)
God was once a man (Disagrees with Biblical God who is not a man Hosea 11:9 and the Book of Mormon that teaches God never changes Moroni 8:18).

Are works the basis of salvation?

    Reducing God to Build-up Man

    in Christianity

This program review the several distinctively un-Christian, but clearly official Mormon Doctrines that reduce the nature of God from a previously corrupt and sinful man to an exalted man who became one of billions of Gods.  This incredibly insulting teaching also builds mankind as it reduces God to an equivalent being.  Note:  This is a Live Call-in Show on KUTR 820 AM and 95.3 FM Utah radio called “Mainstream Mormonism” by Bishop Lee Baker.  To participate LIVE, call KUTR at 866-348-7884 or 866-34-TRUTH on Sat. Mar. 14th  at 4PM or Listen Live at LeeBaker.4Mormon.org

Debate With Cultural Mormon on KZZI in Salt Lake, 1985

    in Religion

Alma Allred, a mainstream Mormon called into my show and confronted me with questions of authority, and who can speak in the name of the Lord to the Church and the other organizations comprising the political Kingdom of God. This was recorded at that time (circa 1985).  I had on a previous show outlined the revelation I received on the Apostleship of the Seventy, which had not been taught in the Mormon Church for many decades. In fact the Church at the time of the call had recently done away with the Seventies altogether and subsituted a fake 1st Quorum of 70.  Fake because it was comprised of HIgh Priests, not Seventy, contrary to the law of heaven, from the revelations already given through the Prophet Joseph Smith.
