On Tuesday, February 10th Everyone Has A Story returns after a couple of weeks off air with one of my all-time favorite guests, Rolanda Footman.
If you've been a longtime listener you probably remember her. I had the pleasure of interviewing her on my previous show, Roll With It after the release of her first book, Breaking Up: A Journey To You. She also joined me on Everyone Has A Story in October to tell us some exciting news. Now, she once again has some exciting news to share with everyone. Unlike last time, I know what it is, but my lips are sealed til show time. However, I will say, this is one show you won't want to miss.

2 Corinthians 11:3 says But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. And I believe in so many ways Satan has been very successful in laying traps of deception laced with ographic magazines, movies and the strong surge of erotica soft cover books that promise happiness, great pleasure and fulfillment, but fails miserably at delivering any of those. Because the truth is it can't and never will. 2 Kings 11 is pretty clear and cut when it says "But King Solomon loved many foreign women, as well as the daughter of Pharaoh: women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites; from the nations of whom the LORD had said to the children of Israel, "You shall not intermarry with them, nor they with you. Surely they will turn away your hearts after their gods. And today even many women and men have surrendered their hearts to the big lie of 50 shades of Grey that over promises and under delivers leaving a much deeper hole and wound, damaging our emotions, mind and well being. The lies will be exposed and we must humble ourselves and know that without Christ we stand vulnerable to Satans attacks but with him we stand strong and victorious.

Looking for friendship, love, sex or business opportunities has led many into a twilight world of seduction, danger, and false identity. You never know where the web of lies will lead.
Alex will discuss some common internet cases including Autumn Pasquele, Megan Meier and some of the other cases discussed on the Web of Lies series, plus I will discuss why you should NOT trust everyone you meet on the internet!

One thing I have learned well in my life is that there is no need for courage if there is nothing to fear.
I take it as part of my duty as an educated and enlightened Black man-to stand in front of young Black boys and young Black men to show them their own possibilities, because I come from the same places from whence many of them hail.
Sometimes, I am joined by other Black men, within whom the fear and awkwardness is so apparent I nearly feel sorry for them.
They feel awkward because of the lies some of us believe that we have "arrived." There is fear because we have merely bought into the empty promise of America--the illusion of the melting pot and the reward for pretending that there are no racial barriers and that hard work and education are always rewarded for everyone.
The belief in this illusion is the intrinsic barrier between open and honest communication with the youth, because they are still wise enough to know that there is a problem. Some of them embrace that problem as a reason to work twice as hard, while some of them embrace that problem as a reason to give up.
But sadly, many grown men are in derelict of duty, because frankly, we are afraid of what we escaped from, and/or whom we left behind.
And so we tell them lies. Lies to cover our fear and lies to cover our mistakes.
And Blacks are afraid of so much more.
