one of the greatest films ever made in the early 80's escape from new york. kurt russell as snake plissken has go in new york prison and get the cheif of the usa out of there and he got 24 hrs do it. the film became a hit a cult following. then in the 90's they made part 2 escape from l.a which didn't make much as new york did. but there been talk that kurt wants come back and do one more snake film. but instead they want remake escape from new york and make it trilogy where they can make 2 more after the new york mission. to me there only one snake plissken and that kurt russell. but i been thinking what if they got norman reedus from the walking dead to play snake plissken. he the only person in my eyes that can snake plissken. but call in or tune in and give us your thoughts about escape from new york remake and the film it self.
Slavery exists where a person is in bondage to something and cannot express free choice.
Drug and alcohol addicts know their habit is potentially fatal, yet they reach for the next hit. Those who sell this stuff are willing to give free samples and create the environment to trap those whose goal is an unreal flight of fantasy, a trip to the pain-free stratosphere. Play in that stratosphere long enough, and the strongest person will slip into the zone of slavery, and then the reality sets in, but escape is almost impossible.
Some hate their jobs yet are just as addicted to the paycheck, and stay for their next hit. That next pay-date, when for maybe 24 hours, all is well with the world. Too often, like the drug and alcohol high, this joy is also very temporary and the pain rush returns creating a cycle where you hang in there for the next payday, anticipating the temporary escape from the pain. This show is not for those who love their jobs, or for those who already know the freedom of doing what you love no matter how well, or how poorly it pays. This show is for those who love their paycheck, and hate their jobs.
There is a way to create your escape one dollar at a time. Few will take this road, because as much as the idea of freedom is appealing, the golden handcuffs of the paycheck yanks them back in fear. The painful known seems easier than the unknown path to freedom. Believing the road exists, that you can walk it, and read the destination requires a faith that has been stripped away the longer the paycheck golden handcuffs are on. Yet, some do take the first step, then the second, and the third. Learn How.

"It was the custom in the State of Maryland to require the free colored people to have what were called free papers. These instruments they were required to renew very often, and by charging a fee for this writing, considerable sums from time to time were collected by the State. In these papers the name, age, color, height, and form of the freeman were described, together with any scars or other marks upon his person which could assist in his identification. This device in some measure defeated itself-since more than one man could be found to answer the same general description. Hence many slaves could escape by personating the owner of one set of papers; and this was often done as follows: A slave, nearly or sufficiently answering the description set forth in the papers, would borrow or hire them them till by means of them he could escape to a free State, and then, by mail or otherwise, would return them to the owner. The operation was a hazardous one for the lender as well as for the borrower. A failure on the part of the fugitive to send back the papers would imperil his benefactor, and the discovery of the papers in possession of the wrong man would imperil both the fugitive and his friend."
