I am Rell Erwin. I was born in Hartford, CT the second youngest son of five children.
My grandmother raised me in the North End of the capital city, but the mean streets of Hartford and the cast of characters who inhabited my world also raised me.
Now, let me just say this, the upper hand was always held by my grandmother. In the city I saw and learned what to and not to do in this world by watching the people around me living their everyday lives. Some were successes; some were failures, but all lessons from the school of life and hard knocks. The school of life and hard knocks taught me how to navigate the streets and the world, yet I did get my formal education from Farmington High School. I graduated from FHS and then spent some time in the United States Marine Corps where I honed my boot shining skills, learned how to get dressed in less than 30 seconds, and wore a quarter sized hole in my foot from wearing combat boots morning, noon, and night.
It was somewhere between the time I graduated from high school and entered the military when these story ideas started invading my brain. There was only one thing to do, and that was to pick up a pen and start writing. It wasn’t until 1994 after my first son was born that I began to feel it was much more than a hobby. Writing was becoming a strong part of who I was and what I wanted to be.
As we all are aware in this thing called life other things and responsibilities pushed my writing to the back burner, and over the next decade plus I dabbled seriously with another love of mine, music.
My debut novel isn't being released until late summer or early fall so it is not up on Amazon yet. I can give you an excerpt, and the current synopsis along with the cover if that helps. Also us there anything you need from me for the interview on the 21st? I'm going through the second edits if the book so my focus has been on that.

On the 70th anniversary of the Allied landing on Normandy's coast, known as D-Day, which was Friday, June 6, Carolyn looks at the possibility of treason as the reason for the poor Wehrmacht response to the invasion. Highlights include:
Generals and even Field Marshals serving in Northwest France in anticipation of the 1944 invasion were the same ones who participated in the July 20, 1944 assassination attempt on Hitler;
Most likely of all to be helping the enemy was Lt. General Hans Spiedel, FM Erwin Rommel's Chief of Staff, who had authority while Rommel was away and was slow to pass on information;
An unusual number of key leaders were away from their headquarters on June 6, but the weather was thought unfavorable for a landing;
Hans Spiedel was released by the French after the war and in 1957 was named Commander of the Allied Forces, Central Europe, an important NATO post, held until 1963;
The last installment of Oblt. Leopold Wenger's letters from the front have been published - comments are welcomre.
The authors that we are featuring today are Valorie Burton, author of "Successful Women Think Differently"; Erwin Lutzer, author of "Making the Best of a Bad Decision"; and Toyomi Igus, author of "I See the Rhythm of Gospel".

Well Sunday is MOTHER'S DAY, so after spending the day with your mom or your kids, why don't you pour a nice glass of wine, soak in a nice bubble bath and join Kali P and Erotic Essence as we celebrate those that have given us life as well as those that have given life thru poetry. YES I SAID POETRY!! This Sunday night is a special MOTHER's DAY OPEN MIC NIGHT. So get your tissue ready because it's time to get sentimental and thank the LADIES for all they do, and show how much we appreciate them through spoken word.
Our special guest of the night will be, the one and only, Danielle Erwin. Danielle is a indie filmmaker from Philly and the owner of 7th Seed Productions. In August 2011 her directorial debut film "Honor And Pride", a short film focusing on bullying within the black gay community was released.
In March of 2012 Danielle Erwin wrote, directed, and produced "Crazy", a film about trust and revenge, "Cool", a film about abuse and the will to leave, and "Sexy", a film about letting go of past issues to sustain your current relationship. In 2013 "Sexy" and "Cool" were featured in the "Philadelphia Q Fest Film Festival". In fact, she was the only director who had two films premier as Official selections.
Danielle is currently filming "Crazy, Sexy, Cool The Series". Which follows the current lives of five lesbian women Dekon, Joy, Rayvn, Dana and Jamie. This web series spawned from her three short films. Danielle's passion is to touch the lives of her audience and help people that may be going through similar situations.

On May 3, 1914, Erwin (Cannonball) Baker of Indianapolis, Indiana rode a 1914 Indian 7 horsepower motorcycle from San Diego, California to New York City. He did that ride in only 11 1/2 days breaking the previous record and earning the name Cannon Ball from a New York journalist who was obviously impressed with the record ride. The name was to remain a part of Erwin Baker for the rest of his life through today.
The Cannon Ball Project retraced the route taken by Baker in 1914. Don Emde utilized the actual written notes of Baker’s to recreate, as close as possible the original adventure. The Daytona 200 winner, who by the way is part of the only Father/Son team to ever win the historic 200, invited close friends to join him on the great adventure.
Tonight on Talking Motorcycles, Emde and Tom Seymour of Saddlemen Seats, Saddlebags and Luggage will reveal inside information about the ride, what inspired them and how it felt to complete the retracing of one of the most famous cross America rides in the history of our country.
