This is where I try to make the story of my life appear interesting, isn't it? Well... I was born a poor Black child... But seriously, I dislike these immensely. I'm not sure I know how to be interesting, which I suspect at times I am, and not flagrantly self-aggrandizing, which I despise, at the same time... These are the facts: Nothing is particularly noteworthy until after I graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 1987. Prior to that, I was nominally studying English, and thinking I might become a professor of literature. or a novelist, or a high performance car mechanic... And really it's the unnoteworthy stuff that makes a guy who he is, and not the stuff that happens in the public eye... But, oh yeah, the facts... I trained as a stage actor. I'm still most at home while acting for the stage. I remain most specifically an actor, but have also written extensively, several pieces of short fiction and pieces for the stage. I am looking forward to directing for the stage again sometime in the future. And I am still intent on being in at least one quintessential police drama for the big screen.
I have been an acting coach, I photographer, a woodworker, a painter, a poet.
Join us this week as we welcome country music singer songwriter, Eric Karge. Eric was voted Maryland’s “2014 Country Music Artist of the Year” during the first-annual Maryland Music Awards recently held at Rams Head Live in Baltimore. Karge, who is from small town Preston, MD., was nominated in three categories including “Country Artist of the Year”, “Songwriter of the Year”, and “Breakout Artist of the Year”. Fans placed Karge in the top five for the three categories. In 2012, Karge released his debut EP titled “Small Town Night”. The EP features six from-the-heart original songs including “Small Town Night”, written about the town in which he grew up; “Irrigation from God”, inspired by the costly need for crop irrigation; “Hell Yeah”, a single inspired by meeting country artist Brantley Gilbert. Karge also wrote several meaningful songs including “If That’s What it Takes”, a tribute to his Marine brother Robbie and fellow members of the Marine Corps. Karge is currently working with Producer Dick Hodgin on a new military tribute album recording at Osceola Studio's in Raleigh, NC. The new album is scheduled to be released spring 2015. We will talk to Eric about his upcoming schedule, get a behind the scenes look at his music, feature his latest songs, and ask him to share his message for the troops. Please be sure to visit Eric Karge at http://erickarge.com/ and spread the word. Fans are welcome to call in and speak live with with Eric during the show (718) 766-4193. Eric Broyles is an entrepreneur, attorney, and author who recently published “Encounters with Police: A Black Man’s Guide to Survival” with co-author and police officer Adrian Jackson. The book comes at a critical time in our nation, tackling the controversy surrounding the slayings of unarmed African American men by law enforcement officers and providing guidance to African American boys and men on how to survive encounters with police. Specifically, the book offers advice on how to think about interaction with police to lower the chances of escalation, provides information on legal and administrative rights citizens have to redress police misconduct so no hostilities occur at the time of encounter, and includes practical step-by-step guidelines on how to respond to police when pulled over for traffic stops or when stopped for questioning outside of traffic encounters. In a recent interview on Washington DC’s Fox 5 Morning News, Broyles stated that while the book is titled “A Black Man’s Guide to Survival,” the tips are race and gender neutral. He points out that by and large, police officers are not bad actors, but in cases where minorities “face targeting, hostility, and bias,” they should go through the complaint process where “you actually start to build a paper trail which will help the police department ferret out who the bad actors are. Can you imagine if Darren Wilson in Ferguson had five written complaints on him prior to the Michael Brown incident?” he asked. Broyles’ book is available on Amazon,
It was a fascinating day in Bahrain during Formula One Qualifying. Mercedes champion and current master of the universe in Formula One, Lewis Hamilton did not disappoint as he easily cruised into pole position. In four races, Hamilton has been on pole four times for a total of 42, which places him 4th on all times list of pole sitters.
Following Hamilton was Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg, Kimi Raikkonen, and Valtteri Bottas. Two top drivers will dominate the front row on race day and fans will be in for a blockbuster. Bottas Williams-Martini teammate Felipe Massa qualified 6th and Red Bull Daniel Ricciardo 7th. Carlos Sainz Jr. with Toro Rosso and Romain Grosjean with Lotus were, 9th and 10th respectively.
As we last reported, the thorn in the side of the powerful Mercedes team will be, and is, the new and improved Ferrari team with former Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen.
Sahara Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg qualified 8th and Sergio Perez 11th. Unfortunately for the McLaren-Honda team, Fernando Alonso made a gallant effort but was held at 14th, and Jenson Button’s car appeared to have some electrical issues preventing him from making it into Q3. Red Bull Daniil Kvyat rolled into a sand trap at P3 and failed to make it past Q1.

130 Years of deception unveiled for all to hear, I seriously have made this a mission of sorts to give people the education they need to decide for themselves if this is what they want.We will dive into the never ending issue of why they stopped taking vaccines and what the outcome was for so many in their organisation. The flip flop on transfusions and why they changed their thoughts on the subject after years of ruining lives of so many.
