    Pride Celebrating Equality for All

    in LGBT

Join us as we celebrate 37 years of Pride Festival history.  South Florida's Lesbian, Gay Bi-Sexual, Transexual Community (LGBT)  has a proud and colorful history of advocating for the rights of the community.

Reading from the Pride South Florida program:

The Pride Festival commemorates the Stonewall riots that occured in New York City in June 1969 which many credit with having launched the national movement for LGBT rights.

Recently released U.S. Census data revealed that Fort Lauderdale is the city with the highest concentration of same-sex couples households in the nation; and the greater Fort Lauderdale area annually welcomes more than 1.3 million LGBT visitors.

Our First guest Norm Kent, Publisher of South Florida Gay News (SFGN) was a successful attorney and advocate for many years defending gay men who were falsely accused of breaking Florida 's lewd and lascivious laws.  Many remember him from his morning radio show on AM WFTL-1400 and 850 AM radio.  He started the Gay news paper Express in 1999 and in 2003 began South Florida Gay News (SFGN).  The newpaper has a very successful reputation in the community and the nation. We will also later welcome Elizabeth Fernandez from Human Rights Campaign.

Let's learn together how we can make this community and all communities safe and prosperous for all.

Fergusons of America, Ferguson, MO is Positioned to Usher in Equality for All

    in Politics

This is the time to decide to make changes for a better America. Ask yourself today:

Do you think America is where it should be? Why do you think this?

What kind of America is it you see?

What is it you think Americans need to do for that nation to come into being?

My belief is we have everything we need for a model nation, except for the passion and behaviour.

We have people with specific roles in America. We have individuals who are called to be heros. People who are paid tax payers dollars to deliver goods and services. People who are paid tax payers dollars to protect and serve. People who are exempted from paying tax payers dollars because they serve America in a manner that benefits the greater good. People who are admonished to prevent the oppression of the poor. People who work in times of disasters man made and natural disasters. People who creatively teach us to build and create. People who stand between US citizens and enemies of other lands who will do us harm. People who learn for the purpose to protect our health, many times putting their own lives on the line. All these people live in the Fergusons of America and today they are positioned to usher in equality for all.

It's Not About Freedom, Tolerance, or Equality

    in Politics Conservative

One of the prevailing themes for me this week has centered around one particular story that I'm going to share with you on today's show.  Every "minority class" in this country has a gripe these days it seems and specifically there's two minority classes that have a gripe with Christians.  Those two classes are the LGBT people and also people of a secular or even admitted Satanic "faith".  What's going on in our military is tragic and actually outright offensive in terms of the environment that is being created for people of a Christian faith.  So I'll share an article that shows what that's doing in terms of whether Christians even want to join the military.  Also, we're getting to a point in which I'm afraid equality under the law, that infamous 14th Amendment is at risk.  But it's not at risk in the way most people are saying.  There's also a story in Oklahoma in which *GASP* a teacher passed out bibles to her students.  Not only did the humanists get involved in that, but the Satanists have as well now.  If time permits, you'll find out how on today's show.  Plus, I'll try to throw in some encouraging news if I can from North Carolina.  But the key thing here is these minority activists do not want freedom, equality, or tolerance in our culture.  They want power and they want to continue to root Christianity from the culture's mainstream.  That's today's show at 4:30 Eastern time, archived afterward.
