We have a great group of people calling in to the Left of Str8 Show today, and I am so excited to be talking to each of them. The Left of Str8 Show strives to bring you some of the best Entertainment, Foodie, and Author Interviews for our LGBT Community and the many Allies that support us. In between we talk a little about what's going on in the LGBT News and the trials and tribulations of your host, Scott Fullerton, currently banished to NE Ohio.
My first guest is one of my favorite people to watch and listen to, he is an actor, a producer, a radio host, a video pop culture analizer, and much more. He is a regular on the hugely popular BRAVO tv series, "The Peoples Couch," as well as one of the stars of LGBT film favorite, "Southern Baptist Sissies, and can be heard just about every week on the hugely popular UBN Internet Radio Show, "The Del & Emerson Show."
Next up is my interview with the owner of Sassy's Cafe and Bakery in Mesa, Arizona, she is also a contestant on the very popular Food Network Channel's competition show, "The Holiday Baking Championship." She is famous for her fantastic Cinnamon Rolls, Brownies, and Sugar Cookies, and has baked pastries for actor Kevin Kline and a birthday cake for Snoop Dog, how's that for street cred! I am so happy to have Melody Larsen on the show.
My final guest today, Kevin Hogan, was the victim of ambush journalism, while shopping with his wife, for some of his former work when he was younger and made some money in the gay industry. Openly bisexual with his family already, he none-the-less suffered some severe depression and trauma over the ambush, but has made a remarkable comeback, and created a fantastic organization, "Healing Stigma," as well as put a lot of his thoughts into some beautiful poetry with his new book of poems that have just been published.

Tonight on Spaced Out Radio we are having a little bit of a program change. Our original scheduled guest, Miriam Delicado, will be rescheduled due to a back injury that she is recovering from. So, instead, we will broadcast live with Radio Host and UFO researcher Mack Maloney.
Mack grew up near Boston, Mass. His father served in World War II, which gave Mack a keen interest in the military, as he read books on the subject daily. Combined with science-fiction, Mack started breeding an interest in ufology. He received his degree in journalism from Emerson College. He started writing books after leaving journalism in 1984 and he's been lucky to call it his career since 1987.
Mack considers himself an investigative journalist, as he has written on everything from Foo Fighters seen my air crews and pilots during wars and conflicts, to Area 51.

Faith is the first comic to star a plus-sized superhero! Graphic Policy Radio welcomes special guest, writer Jody Houser who is part of the team at Valiant Comics bringing Faith to life in one of the year's most anticipated comics.

Faith was the break out star of Valiant's Harbinger. A psionically gifted “psiot” she has always aspired to greatness. Now this once-ordinary teenager is taking control of her destiny and becoming the hard-hitting hero she’s always known she can be – complete with a mild-mannered secret identity, unsuspecting colleagues, and a day job as a reporter that routinely throws her into harm’s way! Well, at least she thought it would… When she’s not typing up listicles about cat videos, Faith makes a secret transformation to patrol the night as the City of Angels’ own leading superhero – the sky-soaring Zephyr! But flying solo is going to be tougher than she ever thought.

Families no longer enjoy quiet meals together. Instead of conversation about the day's events, cell phones are answered, text messages are exchanged and video games are played. Almost everyone has become dependent upon some variation of media: TV, radio, news outlets, social media, etc. It is hard to avoid.Mass media clearly influences everything in our life, including the economy. When negative rumors spread about commodities, investors react drastically. Even in politics, once someone indicates candidacy for office, people react; markets react. The media clearly has a solid effect on people's emotions. This is true regardless of what the reality may be. Social media presents a unique assortment of issues because the activity can be very addictive. While people may be “engaging” socially on these sites, they are not interacting with one another in face to face. This is not only unhealthy but makes us as become disconnected. So, how can you set limitations? What can be done to constructively utilize media to create thoughts as opposed to being just a consumer of information? In this segment of The Organic View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to Dr Thomas W. Cooper about media overload. Dr. Cooper, is an award-winning Professor of Visual and Media Arts at Boston's Emerson College. He previously taught at Harvard University, where he also received his B.A. A former assistant to Marshall McLuhan, he is the Co-Founder and Co-Publisher of Media Ethics magazine.
