Tonight, Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcomes back Electric Pop Singer Jayne Ava to the Show.
Jayne Ava’s eclectic sound can be described as soulful, electronic pop fueled by a large range of emotions. Raised by music loving parents, she has always been in awe of artists on a broad spectrum ranging from Patti LaBelle to Prince to Queen, and Cheap Trick. She also cites Gwen Stefani, Pink, The Scissor Sisters, The Spice Girls, Alanis Morissette, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Gossip as immense musical influences. It was these impeccable musical talents who made her realize that music had to be her future.
Jayne Ava was given the opportunity to work with esteemed producer, Prince Saheb, on her upcoming EP, March. Saheb has been taking the music industry by storm since working with influential artists such as, Lil Kim, Jay Sean, Rick Ross, Ray J and Brandy to name a few. March is set for release later this fall.

Today's guest is Boston emergency physician, Dr. Sean Kelly, Chief Medical Officer of Imprivata, healthcare IT security company. He will be discussing the state-of-the-art of electronic prescribing of controlled substances (EPCS) and as well New York's groundbreaking legislation known as I-STOP that will be implemented in March 2016.
EPCS is an emerging technology that is just now moving into the national healthcare IT spotlight in part because of I-STOP. I-STOP mandates that all medications be prescribed electronically, including highly addictive opioids and other controlled substances. New York is the first state to require electronic prescribing, which is a major shift in how medications will be prescribed in the future.
It is hoped that EPCS will streamline order workflow, reduce patient wait times for prescriptions, improve provider andpatient satisfaction, reduce prescription errors, and help meet Meaningful Use goals. It should help address prescription drug abuse, including opioids and other controlled substances.

Dr. Jeffrey Singer: The ongoing debate over ObamaCare has obscured another important example of government meddling in medicine. Starting this year, physicians like myself who treat Medicare patients must adopt electronic health records, known as EHRs, which are digital versions of a patient’s paper charts. If doctors do not comply, our reimbursement rates will be cut by 1%, rising to a maximum of 5% by the end of the decade…I am an unwilling participant in this program. In my experience, EHRs harm my patients more than they help.
Dr. Singer practices general surgery in Phoenix and is an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute.
